Pretty good burritos. I found this gem via Unilocal and it’s pretty tasty. They are located right by the airport off highway 200. Known for their Marlin burrito or octopus, shrimp, crab. I ordered crab & Marlin but got shrimp & Marlin. Bf got crab. Crab is better. My biggest complaint is I paid in USD with a $ 19 exchange rate, they were only accepting $ 15… I guess that’s how they make money. I mean Oxxo was exchanging $ 1Usd for $ 18.10 pesos –_–

Solid little place right next to the airport. It’s slightly hidden behind the walkway overpass, so look carefully. Ambiance really makes you feel like you’re in Mexico: it’s hot, loud, and noisy! Staff are very friendly. The Marlin and crab burrito was really good, especially when it was something like 90 pesos. Marlin was on the dry side for my taste, so next time I’d just go for crab. Food took a while to come out though. Beware of the spicy salsa, it’s seriously hot.

I love places like this!!! They serve generous portions of delicious, authentic Mexican seafood at great prices. One order could easily. share for two. The casual ambience is precious and the staff are super friendly! :-) It is located across the road from the airport. If you are stopping here for a bite before or after your flight, take the overpass with the orange railing and it is right on the other side! You will see it right away! :-) It is easy to find. :-)

Went next door to Pepes taco as Pepes was closed until 1. Had a pleasant surprise with the food and service. Ordered the seabass and shrimp burrito which was delicious and enough to share between 2 people. Taste was great and the 4 different sauces were a plus. My favorite was the chipotle sauce, but the others were tasty and spicy as well. The server was genuinely nice and glad we enjoyed our food. Will come here again.

Delicious seafood burrito. I am staying at the Holiday Inn express, This restaurant is within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I ordered the mixed burrito(smoked salmon, shrimp and octopus) to go, I walk back to the hotel and it was still very hot that I had to let it cool to eat it. It was delicious. Mmmmmmm and it was 95 Pecos!

Superb fish and shrimp burritos. There is one at the airport and one downtown before Old Town. Fish is fresh, sanitization at restaurant seems to be good, and all I’ve had a both restaurants has been excellent.

Loved the burritos! I can’t say I have had Marlin before, but man, smoked Marlin is wonderful in burritos. True local restaurant very close to the airport. We arrived after 7pm and the menu was a bit limited — no camerones and few crab — but no matter great place. We will be going back.

Definitely one of the better meals we had while spending a week around PV. Giant burrito, just what I needed to help me pass out(with a little help from the free tequilla shots at the duty free store) on our flight back home. I got the shrimp burrito and it was excellent. My wife is a vegetarian and while there isn’t anything on the menu for her they were very accommodating and made her a really delicious veggy burrito.

Today I ate the best burrito I’ve ever had. We pulled into the gate and the pilot ran out to get the order he had placed in the air for the dispatcher to call in. Everyone on board placed an order. He arrived just as the passengers were about to board, so I had to wait to eat mine until we were back in the air going home. He told me the combo was fish and shrimp. But mine was fish, shrimp and octopus. The fish was delightful, tender and not fishy. The shrimp were small but tender and tasty. The octopus was grilled and heavenly. The tortilla was grilled perfectly and the green sauce was a-spicy! A little goes a long way. Well done, mi amigos! I would never turn one of these down!

Amazing seafood tacos. Only downfall is that it’s impossibly hot in that place. If you’re in PV during the hottest season, just take them to go and enjoy at your nearest air conditioned room.

It was the BEST meal that we had in Puerto Vallarta, so good that we decided to go back on our last day before flying home!!! We found this place by accident. We wanted to get a cheaper cab outside the airport and per tripadvisor’s tips, we were to cross the pedestrian bridge from the airport and get a cab from across the airport. When we got to the bottom of the bridge, I noticed this hole-in-the-wall restuarant, not even knowing the food they are serving but I was starving as it was past 2pm and I only had a croissant for breakfast 5 hours ago!!! My hubby was reluctant since it was our first time in Mexico and being a white boy that he is, he wasn’t sure if the place was clean and was worried that we would get stomach ache on our first day there! But after I gave him the begging look, he agreed to sit down and ate there hahahahahah!!! We saw several other american tourists with their luggages… I whispered to hubby, «see, we’re not alone, they also are from the airport just like us!» With broken english, the server managed to tell us about their simple menu on the wall. Basically, they only served one thing, burito like thingy with your choice of seafood fillings. You get to pick two or more fillings too with paying just a little more. for two type of seafood it’s 90 pesos, with 3 types it’s 95 peso. On the first visit I had smoked marlin and shrimp while hubby got smoked marlin and crab. Second visit, hubby played it safe and got the same thing, I got the smoked marlin, crab and octopus because I’m greedy like that!!! As we were waiting for our food to come, The americans on the next table then told us that the food was good that their driver recommended the spot! Hubby and I got excited! Even though, in general, I was never a fan of burito. When the food arrived, I took a small bite and booyah!!! OMG!!! explosion of flavor!!! so so so so yummy, delicious and the portion was HUGE!!! lots of seafood!!! It’s not the usual burito, there is no rice, bean, sour cream like the american buritos… these are just some shredded lettuce, tomato with mayonaise based sauce and SEAFOOD, lots of SEAFOOD! sooo yummy!!! There are more sauces on the table, some are spicy some are not, use them, they are delisssshhheedd!!! Like I said. this place was sooo good and memorable to us that we went back to eat here after we checked in our luggage as we were leaving!!! soo sooo happy we found this place!

We needed to eat before we hopped on a place home, and this place was perfect. The guys working there were really nice, and we ordered a smoked marlin burrito to go in a jiffy. It wasn’t actually that fast so if you’re really in a hurry to catch a flight then this probably isn’t the best option, but we had a little time and boy was it worth it. The burrito was huge and juicy with flavor. They also packed our cucumber and jicama salad in a plastic bag(an original take on to-go), but it was still great! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick bite before a flight.

The shrimp burrito is the thing you come for! I’ve tried a bunch of other stuff and its not worth it. Stick with the burrito de camaron and you’ll leave satisfied. If you have to wait a while for your flight at the airport, walk over the pedestrian bridge and search it out… much better than anything you’ll find in the airport and at a fraction of the price. This is by no means a destination to search out if your not at the airport. You can find better at a ton of other places… but, as far as Airport options, it’ll work.

Tried this place as soon as I got off the plane. I honestly don’t get what all the fuss is about. People saying this is the best thing they’ve eaten… yea, no. Tacon de Marlin is right across the street from the airport — you can take the pedestrian bridge and this hole in the wall will be right on the other side. You can sit yourself down and the waitress will come ask you what you want, along with a «side salad» consisting of some cucumbers and a mayo like dressing that didn’t tickle my fancy. The burritos are about $ 8-$ 10. Too filling to eat by yourself imo, but ok to share. The taste is OK, kind of good but very forgettable. Afterwards you can get a cab right outside. From what I hear, they are cheaper than right out of the airport.

I wish I could give this place more stars but the overall experience was ok. The sea bass and shrimp burrito was pretty good but hubby and I both didn’t like the smoked marlin one. So this is why 3 stars was given as it’s the average of both burritos. Would I eat there again? Probably not.. .

I shared the smoked marlin burrito and a shrimp/octopus burrito with my friends and boy oh boy did they ever hit the spot. Even before the burritos came to our table, the aromas coming from the kitchen when they started cooking our order made my mouth water. This was my first time having smoked marlin, first time even having marlin at all actually. It has a more subtle flavour than other smoked fish I’ve had like salmon or trout but it went nicely with the other flavours of the burrito. If you’re feeling hesitant about trying the marlin, don’t because you won’t regret it, it’s delicious and not fishy smelling at all. I will say that I enjoyed the shrimp/octopus burrito much more, I think the flavours from the grilled shrimp and the tender octopus just were more exciting. On the side, they serve a diced veg salad with a creamy dressing. The veggies are crunchy and pair nicely with the burrito however the dressing is quite mild and didn’t do anything for me. Definitely worth eating here if you enjoy seafood, you’ll probably find yourself craving one of their burritos when you return home!

OK, another little hole in the wall across the pedestrian bridge from the airport. The address shown here is for their other location downtown. Do what I did, get to the airport, check-in, drop your bags and hoof it across the street for a unique seafood burrito experience. Place is very simple and the menu is even simpler. Menu is on the wall and consists of a variety of combinations of seafood burritos — mostly around $ 90 pesos but they are huge and could easily be shared. They bring you a couple little side salads to get you started. One with jicama, carrots and green onions in mayo based dressing and the other cucumbers, pickled jalepeño, onions in a vinaigrette dressing — tasty. The burrito are overstuffed with your choice of seafoods, a little lettuce, wrapped and grilled until the tortillas is crispy — almost like a chimichanga. 4 or 5 additional salsas in case the chipotle one they put inside isn’t spicy enough(it is though). Beverage choices are Pepsi and water. There’s a little bodega next door though if you need a beer which you really do cause those burritos are not gringo food. Definitely not to be missed.

We own property in San Pancho and have been coming to the PV area for years and Tacon de Marlin has long been a favorite. By far some of the best food in the area and a must stop whether coming or going. Do yourself a favor and make the effort. Well worth it!

One of the best meals I’ve had in puerto Vallarta in the 3 years I’ve been coming here. I eat what locals eat. I eat the real Mexican food, not the all inclusives that force feed you mediocre food. Tacón de Marlin is the real deal, and it is amazing. I’ve only had the smoked marlin burrito here(500 times) and it’s simply awesome. Unlike any burrito you’ve probably had. Make sure you eat here on your stay in PV. There are multiple locations to choose from.

When you get off the plane in Puerto Vallarta, take the footbridge over the highway to get to Tacón de Marlin. You’ll get a little dish of vegetables with a creamy dressing while you wait for your grilled burrito or tacos. The service is friendly and the food fills your traveler’s fantasy of fast, cheap and great. We usually split the burrito, as it is substantial.
