Super great atmosphere and great Sunday Special. Service is great too! The view is amazing and perfect to watch the sunset.

We had the best fried shrimp and chips here. Seriously, try the fried shrimp! The shrimp is dipped in what reminds me of italian bread crumbs and isn’t greasy at all. The shrimps are pretty large too. The fries were golden, slightly crispy, and delicious. I also got their pina cola that came in a mason jar. I’m a little iffy about where I get blended ice things from in Mexico but knew I could trust this place with all of its great reviews. It’s strong too! Will definitely be back here next time we’re in the area!

Great food and an amazing view! Service is the perfect mix of taking care of us and letting us just enjoy the view. Good beer by the bottle and really good margaritas!

Went back last night and tried the ribs. Seriously, some of the best beef ribs I’ve ever had. Everyone else in our party really liked their food too. Great service as well, even though we showed up kind of late on a week night.

Great margarita, great chips and salsa, great music. Wasn’t hungry enough for food, but overall awesome.

2 couples, each ordered the Friday Fish and Chips Special, and the ½ chicken. I was told the fish and chips (fries) was very tasty. The chicken was very good, too, but I’d ask to replace the mashed potatoes with fries because the gravy wasn’t to my liking.

Love this place ! My new favorite place on the water! Katie the bartender is adorable and Krissie and Rick are lovely managers! Great Mexico feel kids!!!

My wife and I came down to Puerto Peñasco to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first time driving into and staying in Mexico. We were pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to come back. We read others reviews on The Satisfied Frog and thought we’d see what all the positive chatter was about. So glad we did.
Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and placed ourselves at a table next to the window taking in the breeze and watching the beautiful waters of the Sea of Cortez. I had the Cadillac Margarita and it was nothing to take lightly. The bartender must have had a heavy hand as they don’t play around. No weak drinks here! No complaints from this Satisfied Gringo either! My wife had the Piña Colada. Let me tell you what, that was the best damn Piña Colada I’ve ever tasted. It was in a quart size mason jar (not a pint, a quart!) and I think we easily could have downed another without batting an eye.
I am usually not a fan of seafood, but the fried shrimp was awesome! If you like shrimp, Puerto Peñasco is the place to be! We also had a wood-​fired pepperoni pizza which had a really great crust.
Our server Julian (although our receipt says Martin) was great. Not sure of he was pulling our leg with his name as he said he had only started a couple weeks ago, yet I have seen the name Martin posted in other reviews from months ago. Either way, whoever he truly is, he was fantastic and fun and we enjoyed talking with him.
We will be back the next time are in town, hopefully with some friends and family to share this awesome place with.

My wife and I were in Rocky Point this weekend and made it a point to stop into the Satisfied Frog for a drink and enjoy the Whole Fried Chicken. We met the owner, Rick and had a great conversation regarding the restaurant and his staff. The food was fantastic and so was the service. Our waiter, Jesus was awesome, and others from the wait staff would ask how everything was (Martine). I would highly recommend that if you are heading to Rocky Point, that you find your way to this wonderful restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

Loved this place. Fun atmosphere and crazy delicious food. We ordered the shrimp scampi pizza and the jalapeño pizza. Best wood-​fired pizza I’ve ever had! We ordered more than we could handle but finished it anyway. Go here, go here, go here!

My friends and I were in Rocky Point for 6 days so we visited Satisfied Frog twice! Food and service was great. And you couldn’t beat the prices! Just be cautious when having their margaritas. They’re well known for them (love mine on the rocks), but they’re strong and I couldn’t drink more than one.
First time I had their fried chicken special. Second time I had one of their burgers.
On both visits the owners (husband & wife) came by our table separately to check on us to see if we were enjoying our food.

We ate twice at the restaurant this weekend. The first night we ordered the fried chicken and the fried fish. Both were absolutely delicious. The second night we ate there, we ordered the fried chicken again, and it was just as delicious. It is similar to Southern fried chicken. The batter is so flavorful, and there is no grease! The mashed potatoes and gravy with the fried chicken were yummy. However, the french fries were cold and so salty we could not eat them. I would’ve emailed the restaurant directly and mentioned it to them, but I could not find an email address. I’m not complaining, because overall it was a good experience. But they may want to know this info for future reference. We will definitely go back. The service on Friday night was fantastic, but the service on Sunday was only so-​so.

My first visit to the Satsfied Frog was this past weekend. The food was great, but since when is that enough for five stars on Unilocal?
Like I said the food is great, but what impressed me the most about the Satisfied Frog was the owners. They were attentive to every guest, mopped up spills, & made sure everyone felt like family. In addition to their welcoming natures, the owners are actively supportive of disadvantaged kids in the community. Great food & community love! Beat that!

Fun place, great people and food. We had super fried chicken, Brisket sandwiches, pork sandwiches, Pizza, and nachos. Rick and Chris are a lot of fun and will make sure you have a good experience.

Our party of 6 had a great lunch here today on the patio. Very attentive server. Food was very good. We ordered the fried chicken dinner, the tequila loco shrimp pizza, and a burger amongst our group. The burger had too much pepper which is the only issue we had. Loved the Indio and Tecate Light drafts. The salsa was really flavorful. Fun atmosphere and good company. Will definitely be back. And they don’t water down the margaritas :)

We have been trying to get down to this place sense we moved here. Amazing how easy parking is at night. Last night went for Friday fish fry. The place has the perfect funky beach atmosphere and the fish was great. My husband said his margarita was good. I only wish the french fries matched the fish, upgrading to something other than frozen crinkle fries would have gotten the place 5 stars. We will be back!

We typically go to the same old, same olds and this past time we veered off our comfortable path and wandered down to the Satisfied Frog. We meandered in on a Saturday morning and we met Rick who went above and beyond to tell us all about the place. Sunday, we showed with our posse for dinner, WOW, place was packed, music was playing and margaritas (which BTW were the best I have ever had) were flowing. In the middle of the mêlée was Rick who sincerely welcomed us and settled us in. Food was amazing and service better! We will be back! Rick & crew be on the lookout!

Great service, the homemade salsa is unbelievable! We ordered ribs and pizza. The beef ribs are some of the best I’ve had anywhere.

This place has good food, good portions, draft beer, good music and friendly staff. Not the same old menu as other places in Old Port. I’m so glad we stopped in – it’s our new favorite place in Rocky Point!

We were there yesterday (4^th of July). The place was great, the owner took time to greet us and make sure everything was ok and the pizza we had great. Then we sat on the patio and watch the fireworks. Great location, great food and great people. Highly recommend!

The place says, «best drinks, food and views» I completely agree over 2 days we tried a great margarita and probably the best pizza I have had in a while! The tequila loca shrimp pizza was incredible, we added some caramelized onions to the mix. I didn’t find anything to disagree with their sign!!! Love this place :-)

This review is for a really, really good pizza and ambience.
We veered off our usual list of places to eat to try this restaurant/​bar next to our hotel and came away really impressed.
We typically avoid American food when we come here, but took the plunge for convenience and because the sign out front advertised their Sunday Whole Chicken Dinner Special for $ 12 (w/​mashed potatoes and coleslaw) caught our attention. We didn’t order it, but we saw it served to another table, and Holy Crap (!), it was a freaking mountain of chicken!
Anyway, we’d only wanted to snack on appetizers (it was only 5:30), but were disappointed that there were only 3 appetizers (nachos, wings, stuffed jalapeños) on the menu. But the ambience was pretty cool (kitschy, one level, great ocean view, optional street-​side tables, TV’s, American music) and our waiter (Martin) was friendly.
Since pizza is split-​able, we asked our server which pizza he liked the best. It seemed there were 8 – 10 choices. Without hesitation, he said he liked the Bavarian Sausage.
It’s wood-​fired, and it was served really quickly (by pizza-​time standards) in less than 15 minutes. Simply put, it was delicious and a little different. Creamy white sauce/​cheese, caramelized onions and sausage. 12 inches for $ 16. Very good value.
The street-​side, outdoor portion is pet-​friendly, and the ocean breeze feels good indoors. With everything else we observed, even with so many other places to eat and drink, this place stands out in a good way.

As a Midwest raised girl, I was a bit skeptical about a place on the Malecon specializing in bbq and fried chicken. But when we walked by, the bbq smelled heavenly, so we gave it a try. We fully intended to order the ribs until we saw the Sunday special was a whole fried chicken served family style with mashed potatoes and cole slaw for $ 12. So, we fed our family of four and couldn’t even finish the last delicious piece. We’ll have to go back another time for the ribs. Everyone was nice and the view was amazing too. Pina coladas were tasty and homemade as well, not the pre-​made frozen stuff.

The Satisfied Frog is a great addition to Old Port. The Location is perfect, and the building is gorgeous! You’re about 100 yards away from jumping into the Sea of Cortez. There’s a wonderful ocean breeze flowing through the windows while you watch the seagulls dive in and out of the water.
Walking in, the entire staff warmly greeted us. By recommendation, I ordered their signature Rocky Point Iced Tea. Man, that thing will get your day started! It comes in a 32oz Mason jar which you are given a lid of to decorate with sharpies, and nail to the wall. Judy, the bartender, also whipped us up the best Pina Colada I’ve ever had, and gave me some Spanish lessons.
Our party of 8 ordered 2 whole fried chickens, and 2 orders of ribs. This isn’t the alcohol talking when I say it was the most amazing fried chicken I’ve ever had! My family is from Kentucky, so that’s saying something. The ribs were also perfect! Our side dishes included: mashed potatoes, rolls, and French fries. All were great additions to our feast.
In conclusion, there are no complaints when it comes to the Satisfied Frog. I hear they have another location in Cave Creek which I may need to pay a visit. My mouth is watering just thinking about that fried chicken!

Cool slightly beat up bar overlooking the water. Tasty and strong margaritas. We went when they were 2 for 1, and got nicely buzzed.

Went to watch the sunset and have drinks. Fun place, good prices, enjoyed the music didn’t order any food because we had eaten elsewhere. We will go back for sure!

Satisfied Frog in Rocky Point on The Malecon… is home away from home… The atmosphere is warm and inviting… just like family… way so awesome!!! The food is beyond great! My son and I have had the ribs, the chicken with mashed potatoes has THE best gravy ever, smoked jalapenos, and the pizza’s are so great! The view of the Sea of Cortez is awesome!!! Stop in and say hi to Rick and Krissy Nichols.
