Pane e Vino Ristorante

It’s Mexico… quality is hard to find BUT this one is excellent. Pane e Vino is in a little old strip center about 100 years old between a dirt lot and a semi falling apart rest of the building. Welcome to Puerto Penasco. The restaurant is clean, nicely done inside and the food is really really good. Service was excellent and the price is great for US residents and very expensive for locals. We ate really well for 70 US dollars. Do not expect high class like high class is measured in the US. Remember you are in Mexico. It is on the same level food wise as Maggiano’s.

This is a fantastic find. The nice clean atmosphere was blended well with some nice decorations. I took a friend here and we both enjoyed our meals. The service here is very nice they do know how to treat their customers as if they were important. Hopefully I get the chance to return here someday.

If you are looking for fine dining, you need to try this restaurant. It’s in a non-​descript strip mall on Benito Juarez. However, inside it is a very nice atmosphere. I was dining with friends and my friend had jumbo shrimp marinated in a jack daniels sauce that was out of this world. I had the sea bass which was amazing and my other friend had flounder. Service was great — I had no complaints. You get a really great meal which in Phoenix might run you 2−3x the price so if you find yourself in Rocky Point and want something other than traditional mexican food — this Italian place is worth the stop. Also, the owner (Chef from Italy) now owns FISH which used to be Lighthouse and the night club Sky Bar above — look for review on that as well

Everyone raves about this restaurant but I’m still waiting to be impressed! We were very disappointed on our last visit this past Monday night ! Service was painfully slow we had to ask our server for our salads several times, the entrees took some time to get out and the desserts were just awful! Wine list was decent and fairly priced. Overall I think the restaurant is over priced for Penasco especially for mediocre food and poor service! I understand that the owner wasn’t in that night, perhaps that explains the poor service!
