Blue Sky Coffee & Beer

This review is of my first visit to Blue Sky Bar Friday night around midnight. I was looking for a place in the neighborhood to stop for one drink on the way home. This place turned out to be a perfect place to stop. We were let in through the front door by a friendly server. The whole place was lit in blue light. Strangely the song sweet home Alabama was playing. It was strange because this was the only classic rock song played while we were there. It was personally funny to me because it was one of the first songs I heard after arriving to the Mexico City airport, wonderfully ironic. The music played at Blue Sky was a mix accompanied by music videos. It was loud. I liked it. The blue light made it hard to read the menu but the waiter had a glow stick and a flashlight. The menu made me laugh, in a good way. I ordered the love martini. I thought, why not? It was good, and pink with a coconut flavor. It reminded me of the drinks I liked ten years ago. The people enjoying the bar were a mixed group. It was busy enough to be interesting but not crowded. We were having fun. I ended up ordering a second drink, another love martini.

La verdad es que Lo más verde de la ciudad o Satélite no son mis zonas para salir de juerga, si es que salgo, porque con los años me he hecho más a la onda de tomar la copa en casa de amigos que de salir a bares. Sin embargo este lugar si lo conozco.
Desgraciadamente tampoco te puedo decir mucho pues en esa ocasión iba en plan de ligue en lugar de otra cosa y como buena etapa de apend. ja…iento (You Know what i mean! jajá) pues estaba más enfocado en ella que en lo que hubiera alrededor. ¿Qué te puedo decir de la experiencia? Pues de entrada la lucecita azul con la que está ambientado el lugar da para el ligue cañón, te adentra en ese mood intimo en el que puedes platicar, aunque como dije no sé si era yo el lugar, pero yo si pude platicar.
La música va bien, con sus tropezones de repente ya sabes, esas veces que se le van los dedos de más al encargado de esta parte y entra el Nazareno después de una de Soda Stereo o Rihana o cosas así, pero en general bien. Los alcoholes a buen precio y bueno más la neta para que engañarte, no me acuerdo. Solo sé que ese «día» me la pase muy bien. Una opción para distraerse sin desembolsar mucho dinero.
