Hotel Riazor

We got a special rate because we had to purchase new tickets from AeroMexico and they have a vendor partner deal. $ 81 USD was a great deal, so we booked immediately.
The shuttle driver was very nice and helpful. He didn’t speak much English but was still a welcomed smiling face after the grouchy Mexico City Airport/​airlines employees.
When we pulled up I was pleasantly surprised, the hotel was beautiful. The check in staff was friendly and quick and our room was clean.
The bed was a little hard but that’s subjective.
The bar staff was excellent. We needed a drink and they obliged and offered great suggestions. Fantastic margaritas and engaging bartender. Great prices and a cute little patio with Vh1 Classics on the tvs for a fun atmosphere.
The indoor pool was nice and though we didn’t use the gym it was clean and had a lot in it. There’s also an indoor hot tub.
I would stay here again, for sure.

My husband booked this hotel to stay at for the duration of our stay in Mexico City. The hotel itself was really nice, but we didn’t stay that long in the hotel to really get a good feel of it.
The major pluses this place has is that the employees speak English and they seem to get a lot of international costumers that stay there so they offer currency exchange services, which was very helpful in that you don’t have to wander around to look for a place to change your cash.
The only mar against it was when we left. We had gone out early in the morning to go see Tenochtitlan we had some trouble getting to the hotel on time, but we made it, barely. However they had already locked out our keys so we couldn’t into our room to grab our stuff to go.
After talking to them for a bit we were allowed back into our rooms to get our stuff and leave.
It wasn’t so much as the hotel’s fault because we did cut it a bit close, but for future reference I think it best to be there to check out on time or to let the staff know that you will be out but will be returning shortly to check out give or take a few minutes.
