The entire experience was terrific! The bartender(I wish I got his name) was extremely helpful. He essentially went over the entire drink menu with my friend and I to locate the perfect cocktails for us. The drinks were presented in a beautiful fashion and were very tasty. We also ordered a pear tart to go with our drinks and it was fantastic! All of the staff were very attentive and helpful.

Watch out New York, you now have a new challenger to the roast beef. Conde Sandwich Bar is a new an awesome concept for a watering hole. Serving up delicious handcrafted cocktails(all made with expert precision), served up with by attentive staff and in case you’re a little hungry… delicious sandwiches. The star of the show is the roast beef, served on a house made roll made next door in their very own bakery. The roast beef is a perfect medium rare with a little rosemary spread lathered on the roll. It was sublime. I also sampled the Rueben. It was also very good, but be warned it’s not your traditional Rueben. This is the kind of place anyone would dream of being in their neighborhood. The owners Gabriela and Danny make excellent hosts and really do want you to enjoy your experience.

Hitting this establishment after strolling by many a times, I was simply curious. Claimed to have the best roast beef in Mexico City, I dived in. True, very true. I arrived there around 3:30 on a Friday afternoon and it was the perfect location to see everything around me get busy, yet, I never had a wait. Great wine, great food, and yes, the Roast beef sandwich, I would have to say one of if not the best and yet certainly beats Arby’s :) I think this is definitely mazing for individuals and small groups, for a large group, probably not so much. Also this is what a friend had to say — «The sample platter was FANTASTIC. A healthy portion of two hams, 4 cheeses, fruit and lettuce(don’t know if that was for adornment or to eat). It came with delicious bread, which was replenished, and the platter was enough for three of us to get our fill. I would probably order it as my lunch next time. Awesome! With a bottle of wine and great company, it made for a delightful place to be. Not as crazy about the Reuben, which wasn’t really a Reuben at all but rather some unidentifiable dry meat with cheese, not on rye but some other darker bread, and cole slaw on the bread. I wouldn’t recommend it. Tobey, my dog, liked the leftovers, though, with the cabbage picked off(I ate that!), so all’s well that ends well.»
