Mariscos Bahia de Ensenada

My hotel front desk recommended and introduced this restaurant as the best seafood restaurant in town. Mariscos Bahia is a big restaurant with professional service.
Very suitable for large group, family and tourists.
There are fair number of local people dining here.
We ordered the following dishes.
— Clam Chowder — 3.5 star
— Ceviche — Fish — 4 star
— Pescado Fritos (Fried Whole Fish) — 3.5 star
— Squid — Garlic Sauce — 4.5 star
— Flan and Cheese Cake — 4 star
Service: Good! The waiters and restaurant staffs were polite and helpful.
Food: Well cooked and tasty.
Cleanness: Restaurant was clean and bright.
Location: Conveniently located in the center of the tourist area.
Overall, this is a fine restaurant for those who would like to have a decent meal in a relaxing and upscale atmosphere!

It’s reeeeally hard to flag down help, but the food was fairly good. The oysters were extremely salty, which I wouldn’t recommend, but the surf and turf was decent. The prices, for an American tourist, was fair. I knew it was slightly high for where I was at, but it wasn’t bad.
I liked the fact that it was slightly removed from all the bars and people yelling at you to buy stuff. Their bathroom was indoor and was quite clean.

A young lady told us about this place when my family and I were at La Bufadora.
I wanted fish tacos so bad! The texture of the fried fish was delicious. I demolished my 2 tacos. My tortillas de maiz were so fresh because it was hand made. I also enjoyed the place. It was clean and the décor was cute.
The salsa (pico de gallo) was sweet & had a kick to it. The white cream seemed to be mayo so nothing special. I also liked that if you wanted to see how big the fish would be if you ordered it, your server will bring one out. Mind you those fishies are huge. I really enjoyed it and I will come back.

Bahia is a no frills seafood joint. In quality it reminds me of Los Arcos in Tijuana. However, Bahia has more items on the menu. It’s alright.
I ordered the Pulpo Al Mojo de Ajo or «Octopus in Garlic Sauce». The octopus was really overcooked and some of it was a bit charred. The garlic sauce was not that great. The dish sat really heavily in my stomach. It came with rice and a salad which were both OK.
As it is a no frills place I really can’t say much about the décor. The place is clean. They have widescreen TVs to distract you from the food. I heard English spoken at another table so it’s safe to say this place is well known. Their wifi connection is really bad!
Bahia has a pretty big parking area which is pretty good for this part of Ensenada!
If you are low on cash come here and fill yourself up. I would rather go to the high quality and slightly more expensive marisco places in Ensenada!

Right in the heart of the tourist area. Be prepared to pay American prices, but there is a full bar. Ask what is fresh fish and you can’t go wrong. I ordered a combo of squid, scallops and shrimp. They were a bit over cooked and rubbery for my taste, but the garlic sauce with the combo was yummy. The other dish we ordered was fresh fish cooked «Sarandeado» style, a bit pricey, but it was very good. They have someone making homemade corn tortillas tog o with your meal. Marlin Fish Tacos are a few bucks each, along with other fish choices.
