Asadero La Chispa

This place is legit great. The only thing they do is carne asada, as tacos, burritos etc but they do it GREAT. And they have a ton of excellent condiments and toppings right there at the bar in front of you that you apply yourself.
This is not a fancy place and doesn’t need to be. But it’s clean and bright and friendly. Also the cooks and staff were very nice. Try this place, it’s worth it, and us two gringos felt very welcome there.

Delicious, fresh carne asada tacos on fresh tortillas. They have lots of toppings, onions, radish, cilantro, crazy spicy salsas and roasted chiles.
Service is prompt. This place has been around since 1982 and is a local favorite I bet.
Cheap too!

Best carne tacos in Ensenada!

So good. I think I ate 10 pounds of tacos they were so good.
I’ve never been down to Ensenada so I imagined a bajillion taco places. Well that’s actually the case. But it ranges from super commercial ‘papas & beer’ to the taco truck outside the bar.
This place may look ‘hole in the wall’ but it’s fantastic, relatively quick, and they’re super friendly. Plus all the sides available rocks. They make a simple and awesome carne taco or burrito, you add your extras if you want em.

Got burritos and they’re really good. The meat has really good live flame flavor. The topping and salsas are all delicious. Only complaint was no crema.

This is usually my first stop in Ensenada. Order your taco (s), plenty of fresh condiments and salsa. Their red salsa is ridiculously good. I compliment my tacos with the oregano seasoned onions and cilantro.

Para mí estos son los mejores tacos de carne asada de Ensenada. Soy de Mexicali y estoy acostumbrado a ponerle muchas cosas a mis tacos. Aquí tienen muchas salsas, rábanos, guacamole… Además, uno mismo se sirve, por lo que no te limita el taquero, como normalmente hacen en Ensenada.
Las tortillas de harina están hechas ahí y son buenísimas. Quizá lo malo del lugar es que no tienen gran variedad de platillos. Creo que no hay tortas ni tostadas. Sin embargo, si lo que quieres son tacos de carne asada, éste es el lugar a visitar. Los tacos casi cuestan veinte pesos cada uno, no recuerdo el precio exacto, pero valen la pena.

I’ve been coming to La Chispa for about 15 years and it’d been here a LONG time before my first trip. There’s one simple reason for this… it’s flipping awesome and it’s awesome EVERY time I come in. They offer Asada only but several different ways. Tacos, quesotacos, burritos and quesadillas. All big, all great! I make it a point to eat here every time I go to Ensenada and even if I’m just passing through I’ll swing in on my way.
First off it’s been the same family the entire time I’ve been coming down which is always a good thing. The food is always fantastic and comes quickly even when they’re slammed (which is almost every day, all day). All the food comes stuffed with plenty of the carne asada that makes them famous and what you add is up to you. they’ll throw on beans and cheese after that it’s all up to you. There are two or three salsas and some avocado sauce but I wouldn’t actually call it guacamole. There are onions, pickled onions, cilantro limes, radishes and it’s all freshly sliced and ready to go. They have a variety of Coke products in cans and bottles for your pairing pleasure but sadly no beer or wine.
When we roll in we belly up to the taco bar and they’re always happy to see us (again). then the process begins… Order, eat, repeat! When we’ve reached Food Coma we ask for the bill and gladly pay… tip… and go! Gots to be on your way. someone wants that stool!
Hands down the best Asadero in Ensenada. Never have I had a hoof or knuckle in my food and it’s consistently fantastic! It’s in kind of an odd spot but when you find it. it’s worth it!
They also do to go orders and package up all the fixins for you and the yummy goodness goes with you!

Like they say, if you’re going to do one thing… Do it the best! They only offer carne asada and its the best. The wife and I come every time we’re in town and even drive down just for them.
