Mekong is a Vietnamese cuisine restaurant located at the ground floor of The Broadwalk, Syopz Mall in Taylors University Lakeside Campus. I love their interior– a Vietnamese style of modern design, Classy yet cozy, their menu weren’t astonishing nor appealing. However, their food is good-to-try. Oddly enough, You can always go for their chicken chop or other western cuisine rather than their vitenamese food(not as good). Beware though, their prices here could cost a fortune, a chicken chop could up to RM20 ++, How insane? Though, I believe food is always the consent but as for this case, it’s exceptional. It’s too crazy. Plus, their portion are not as humongous(moderate, at a decent portion). As for their ambience, admittedly is pretty cozy here, you have either indoor/outdoor seating, also you get to witness the TRUE Vietnamese culture here and still have a taste of heaven of Vietnamese. In my opinion, their food are here pretty standard, nothing too fancy nor shabby but then again, if you’re skeptical about it, why not give a taste first. Then you be the judge?

I’m not very impressed at all by looking the menu as vietnamese cuisine was not my cup of tea but Mekong House changes that. This is some trivia for you guys — Mekong River is one of the longest river in South East Asia that across three different countries(Thailand, Vietnam, China) Enough with the trivia because the chicken chop with rice here is so good. The chicken is fantastic! It’s still juicy and tender and tasted like teriyaki. A sweet-sour sauce is provided which amps up the taste but I think the chicken already tastes great on its own. Soup’s not bad and rice was slightly too hard.
