Thanks to my colleague’s birthday, we got a chance to try the «poon choy» that I have heard long enough but haven’t try before. We managed to reach here at 7.30p.m, just nice for dinner.
The first dish that we order was also one of the famous dish called «Dong Tuk Kai”(RM38), which means roasted chicken in standing position. Yeah, imagine a whole roasted chicken stand still on the table. Fascinating! We then were given a pair of gloves and scissor. So, is either to cut nicely or tear it off like zombie is all up to you! I would say the taste of the chicken is tender and the process of tearing it is fun.
Then come to our main dish «poon choy», it’s a big bowl that filled up with abalones, scallops, prawns, porks, veggies etc. There have different size of portion which cost from RM200+ to RM500+. Everyone became so silent once the «poon choy» served, enjoying different kind of dish that stacked up layer by layer. It’s really a fine dinner for me not because is the price but the taste of every dishes are different and yet get along when mixing them together in one big bowl.
Overall comment is good! Service is good and the restaurant is clean, parking available. Will definitely visit this restaurant again but will trying other dishes next time.
