Lounge breakfast: apples with worms in them, sugary orange tang, spicy noodles. Studio room: two tiny bunk beds perfect for when your girlfriend is mad at you for wasting 100 usd on a shitty room instead of using your layover to see the city. Staff repeatedly knocked on door during our 3 hour nap and then apologizing as they didn’t seem to realize we had rented the space to nap after an all night flight, When they weren’t barging in they were running up and down the hallway installing cables and yelling back and forth. The idea was great, the experience was terrible.

It’s a decent lounge with nice selection of food and beverages. I especially like the laksa… What sinks its rating is the«family friendliness». Being family friendly is usually a good thing, but being«family friendly» here means kids running around, speaking loudly, and even screaming… and the parents won’t do a damn thing to control their kids. Some parents even talk loudly to «out talk» their obnoxious kids. I hate to pay to access a lounge that’s much noisier than the general public area, and can’t get a decent rest. To make things worse, there’s no quiet area, so all guests are stuck in this predicament.

I was deciding where to stay for this flying trip of mine, and ended up decided on this airport lounge at KLIA2 just to experience it. I paid about 260RM for the 10 hours single room, it’s pretty small but has a toilet with showers attached to it. The lounge with warm and cold food and drinks are available during your stay so if you have a flight the next day, I think it’s a pretty good deal especially you are on a business trip. The lounge is at the level 2M, it’s a less than 5 minutes walk from the KLIA express train station. It’s not a big one, and the view of the lounge is visible from outside. Doesn’t look very high end, it’s catered more for passengers who has no airline’s status or Y class frequent travellers. Paid lounges give everyone a chance to experience it without the need to fork out big money to fly on premium carriers and that’s a very good thing! I am happy with the stuff’s helpful and friendly attitude, one of them even engaged a conversation with me and shared some interesting information with me and that’s what you call service! The room is comfortable for a short nap, the most a day, I won’t stay longer. I had no issue sleeping, it’s in fact pretty cozy for me. The shower is good, no issue and the variety of food at the lounge at past midnight and lunch was limited but adequate. This lounge may not suit everyone especially with the high end flyers.
