Eat By Jun Chan

Located in D7 Sentul, this small eatery became the second food and beverage outlet to open here, Three Little Birds being the first. To those who have been to the café knows that the the office block is covered in lush greens and warm wood elements.
Eat operates in a very small space, having only two tables out by the sidewalk, but has some very delicious food served. The food here are all ready made in takeaway boxes, which are reheated when ordered. All of them are prepared in a kitchen in Subang, if I’m not wrong. I must say I really like the concept of getting your food instantly, but you gotta ask, does it still taste good? The answer is yes, it taste really good. You must try the rice and noodles with minced beef and onsen eggs, it’s heavenly.

Working just right across the street, I’m actually so glad to find out that there is finally another food place opened near my work place. I have no idea that this place is opened even though I sometimes visit Three Little Birds which is just few shops away, until today my friend came to D7 for lunch, in supporting his friends who opened Eat at D7, and asked me over for lunch.
D6 and D7 had always been two of my few favourite office buildings and if you’re familiar with D7, this designer office building is actually very pleasant to look at. Benches and greens in the middle of offices, nice cafes along the landscape, water fountains adding to the serenity — works feel much better done here, seriously.
In Eat, they serve quite a wide range of foods that’s suitable for lunches, they have from sandwiches to noodles and pastas, and also rice. Most of their dishes here are of fusion styles and all comes with pretty interesting concept. I ordered their garlic fried rice with Salmon fukikake & onsen egg. They actually reheated my food using microwave, but surprisingly the onsen egg is not overcooked at all and you still get a creamy egg yolk! — Impressive, really.
Staff here are very friendly and will help with giving you suggestions if you aren’t too sure what to have. Price range for foods would be around RM10 — 15, which I think is quite fair for a café in such a nice place.

. They have the options of Malaysian Coffee and also Teh Tarik when I was visiting. Prices for drinks here are pretty fair too, which in total including my lunch and coffee, I spent RM23 here, which is slightly cheaper than grabbing a lunch next door at Three Little Birds, so food selections wise — I opt to Eat!
They do serve desserts here as well, which means that apart from lunch time, this place is good for a coffee break as well, with some tempting desserts here. They open until 9 in the evening, which means the place would be a good spot for after work happy hours too!
Parking wise, you can now still get free parking spots at D7’s underground parking. However, it does seem like they are going to impose new parking rates to the area soon.
Overall, very cozy ambience, modern concept, affordable prices — I’m coming back again!
