Actually there’s a new kind of sports that could makes you sweat even though it’s an indoor game. I don’t know how to categorized this game but the name itself makes me thinking that I was inside some sort of alien kind of lair of something. Located just inside the IOI City Mall, so ‘hard to find’ this place is not a totally a good excuse to miss the excitement here. As for the entrance fee, I paid RM55 for the whole day package and I would tell you by the end of this review whether this place is worth the money or not. There are family packages as well that I forgot the exact value but surely much much cheaper than usual. There are so many types of games that you should try inside. I was a climber when I was a kid. Always got scolded by my parents because I always found myself on the tree whenever I got back to Kampung. The tetris wall is the first one that I tested. Easy but exciting. So does the sphere cage. I thought it was the same cage that used inside the Jurassic Park but turned out that I was wrong. It much smaller. I would love to try some other games as well but I just couldn’t. The condition of my feet would not allowing me. My doctor won’t be happy with me but one thing for sure, it is surely worth every penny that you pay!

I was here with a bunch of my colleagues for our monthly R&R — rest & relax! Having bought our entrance tickets on Groupon, we actually managed to saved on half of the ticket price — so instead of paying for RM79.50 per pax, now we can have two admissions for the same price. However, do note that this groupon is only valid that you must have two admissions at the same registration, and it’s subject to availability and their terms as well. For someone who lives in Kuala Lumpur, District 21 that is located in the ioi putrajaya mall is actually quite a distance away. Even though the traffic jam heading there was not that bad, the distance itself is a long one. Once you’re there, you would be required to register yourself before you can purchase your ticket. The registration process applies for groupon tickets holder as well. Do note that you must have someone who is above 18 to be the guardian registrant. Once you’re done with registration, you can proceed to ticket purchase counter. If you are coming during weekends, you might have to brace yourself through the long queue — and the long queues in there before you could try each attraction! Before you enter, they will give you a wristband, a pair of trampoline socks and a pair of grip gloves, which you can bring them home after. When you’re in there you have to purchase token from them for your locker. One locker can fit around two backpacks, so you might not want to bring too many things with you there. They do have washrooms here, which would be okay for changing and refreshing yourself there. They have quite a number of attractions and activities in there but for us, we only manage to spend not more than 4 hours in there and we are already exhausted. Amongst them my favourite attractions would be their maze and the roller glider. However for those who are below 45kg or above 80kg, you will not be allowed on the roller glider. They will have a schedule outside stating the opening times of each attraction and if any are under maintenance — which during my visit their sky trail was not opened. They do have quite a number of different games, so you might want to discover for yourself! In there they only sell drinks and ice creams, not even snacks. So, you could either bring your own food, or you could actually exit the place to grab some food for yourself, and later re-entry to the place without extra charge. Overall, the place is actually quite fun, just note that some of the rides and attractions are actually not suitable for adults. For example, only kids are allowed on their merry go round — how depressing? Price is not cheap, but if you are looking for a new and fun and active place for an outing, you should check out District 21!

District 21 is an indoor extreme park locate inside IOI Mall Putrajaya. To be honest I was very disappointed with this place. On the website it looks pretty extreme and like its meant for adults. Well I was in for a rude shock when we got there. The amount of children running around and doing the activities! So many children every where it got me wondering if we were in the wrong place. But no, we were in the right place. Only two of the activities there have a weight and height restriction so besides those two, the kids are free to do what ever else they wanted. I didn’t like the idea of having to do these activities with these children cause it just didn’t feel extreme or challenging anymore. I would not go back here unless of course they upgrade or add more obstacles. For now the only things that attracted me was the flying fox and the suspension walk. Besides that, The queue was just too long. We lined up for 2 hours for the suspension walk and an hour for the flying fox. So not worth it if you ask me.

I came here for their crossfit introduction class and boy where the boys and girls there fit. The place is a warehouse converted crossfit play ground with tools for members to play with like pull up bar sets, rig sets, weights and plenty of space for intense workouts. The space is very different from commercial gym as it is pretty basic and they place emphasis on the workout they do. The family of District 21 was very small when I went there but they are very encouraging, friendly and impressively fit. If you’re really keen joining crossfit, being a part of them will surely be motivating and I bet you’ll be challenged to do better all the time as well. I just went there once and I wasn’t cut out for it, but if you’re keen on exploring I feel that the passion of the people there will surely make you strive to do better!

District 21 is basically an amusement park in a shopping centre like in Berjaya Times Square. There are many attractions like the Power Station, Roller Glider, Sky Trail, GoPedal and so on. For the Power Station, which is a place with different style climbing walls such as tetris, tower blocks and others, I had to wait a long time in line to get in because they only let in a one batch at a time and that batch has 20 minutes. District 21 looks like fun, but everything is not as cool as it looks except for the Roller Glider, it is a good experience and is satisfying, but the only thing that’s stopping me from going back there again is the price. I find that the place is not worth the price we’re paying.
