Interestingly how creative people can be in improvising old recipes to make it fresh and new today. One of it is Soon Soon Lye salmon fish head noodles. Located in Bandar Puteri, Puchong, this is one of the first that I have seen and tried. I do like the original fish head mihun but salmon, I don’t think so. I never agreed salmon to be cooked in soup or steam because the level of omega oil it contains. And when you cook it is those ways, it gets really oily and rich. This is what I experienced with the fish head noodles. It was really rich that I couldn’t finish and the strong taste of salmon lingered in the soup and made it a little off putting.

This place has the best Fish head curry ever! I was introduced to this place by a friend whose really into this. For me, this dish is very unique because you don’t find it around a lot. Only certain restaurants will cater this dish. The soup tastes a little sour, sweet, curry(but not so curry) I can’t’ describe it but it is amazing. You can choose the different types of noodles you want to go for. I normally pick the Bee Hoon coz it’s delicous and doesn’t fill me up that fast. I order the set that comes with fresh salmon sashimi on the side which can be eaten raw or you can drop it in the soup and eat it with the noodles. They say that they put a bit of wine in the soup to get that special taste. Ever since I came here, I been a big fan of this dish. It is by far the best soupy noodle dish I like(next to chinese Mee Curry). A whole set will cost you no more than RM15(trust me it is worth it).
