My first visit to Malaysia and I came here to eat after a 27 hour flight from U.S. The food was refreshing and I actually loved the portion sizes! I’m watching my weight since I’m attending a wedding here and this was portion control for me. The cold noodles were delicious and what’s great is that my mom was hungrier than I was so she got to order more and it’s not expensive. The butter cream prawns were my favorite! A must try! I was not able to come with my 4 year old son but this would’ve been perfect for him since he doesn’t eat much. Next time I come with the family to Malaysia I will definitely be back here.

Big Spoon is a restaurant that mainly serve the traditiona summers foods like cold noodle in small portion but not like boat noodle, many people has mistaken them as a thai cuisine but they are actually not! their philosophy is eat healthy and yummy in the tummy. Their noodle is great and I love their fried spring rolls, it was amazing, also their dumplings, friedd and steam, I didnt know how to choose between them because there are both awesomely cook :) and they have imported drinks like yogurts and soda from china.

There were so many craze about Big Spoon, but it never crossed my mind to try the food there until recently. I was invited to Big Spoon to try some of their food and I was thinking«Why not?». It was a hot afternoon and I was expecting to cool myself down at the restaurant. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case. Even though they have air-conditioner in the restaurant, but due to the open doors, most of us were feeling sweaty while having our lunch. We had a few courses throughout the event. Some of the food were very well-received but some were not so much. One of my favourite dish was the tomato appetizer. The tomatoes were juicy and the plum sprinkled on top was slightly sweet — it’s a refreshing dish. Another dish that was good it’s the fried dumplings. The skin was crispy and the black bean sauce goes perfectly with this. The other dish that we love was the Shrimp with Mayonnaise and Strawberries. The shrimps were fresh and fried to perfection and I was quite surprise that it goes very well with the sliced strawberries. Overall, we had a good time at Big Spoon. The servers and owners were very friendly, and they were very attentive. Apart from the slightly hot temperature of the restaurant, it was still a good experience.

My boyfriend brought me here a while back after we both heard raves about this place. Seeing how it was the next big thing after boat noodles, we decided to give the place a shot. What really fascinated us was how they actually serve their noodles in big spoons which was pretty cool. They only had one type of noodle to choose from which was the cold chicken noodles. They served dumplings as well. The noodles were alright– nothing great but putting extra chilli oil made it so much tastier, The dumplings on the other hand, was surprisingly quite yummy! I had three portions to myself being the greedy person I am. The only type of drinks served were bottled drinks from China. We ordered one coconut yoghurt drink and one sour plum drink. I usually hate coconut flavoured stuff because of the strong coconut smell but this one tasted okay. I really liked the sour plum drink though. Personally, I still don’t know what’s the big hoo-ha about Big Spoon as I’ve tried nicer noodles else where. Service was slow but the waiters/waitresses/manager was very accommodating so thumbs up for that! Overall, I would say that it’s worth a try but I wouldn’t be back anytime soon unless they change their menu.
