I have attend to this event once in my life back in 2013 and I guess it is kind of disappointment for me(please note yet again it is disappoint just for me) because I actually come here during the daylight and God help me during that day, the event kind of boring for me because there is nothing other than kiosks selling things. And the hot air balloon are not yet in the air and not even expand. Just that around twilight, the participants for the hot air balloons starts to expanding their balloon and pity on me, I can’t stay any longer because ‘home alert’ started to ring and I shall be home before 9PM. Just that, while waiting for the bus to get us back to the Putrajaya Sentral, luckily we can see one or two or three(well I can roughly count it. hehe) hot air balloon floating on the sky and it is a beautiful view. But, shame on me I can’t have a great picture of them but I hope I still have the opportunity to go to the event once again and can stay for the night and watch it all. Yehee

Came here twice for 2 consecutive year and working in an event company and i had my events goggles on to observe how they manage the timing, the activities and many more. I honestly love the fun environment going on here, sadly Putrajaya wind was not strong for the hot air baloon to rise up. I always wanted to ride one but many not in here RM20 per ride. I love the mountain dew section because there is where MY fun begins — being in the bubble, archery, paintball and many more. There are different sections that is categorized in colour. There were one section where there is crafts and toys and i felt like i was being a child wanting some cool toys, so in the end my partner bought a nemo baloon and tie it behind my pants as if i am walking with a fish behind me. There were also popping the water baloons and get something but sadly my darting skills is not good so i didnt win anything. Have i mention that there were also so many types of food — Malay food, western food and sup daging was so good, ice cream, lots and lots of mountain dew samples and many more. There is also a beanbag section which is the chill out area but lacking of umbrella/shade for MYFACE! Definitely a good experience to observe and i heard that this event is dying off, so much improvements to make and feedbacks.

There were tons of people. I was lucky enough to be one of the lucky ones to actually experience the hot air balloon ride. There are about 9 hot air balloons when I went from different parts of the world. It seems so amazing how huge it was up close and how unbelievable a balloon like that could lift a couple of human beings up into the air. There are also food and fun activities you can take part in when you attend the hot air balloon festival. Getting to putrajaya may be a hassle but it’s worth for a once in a blue moon experience, that’s for sure.

If not mistaken, this is the 6th International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Putrajaya. It was a fiesta that everyone should join at least once in their life. Why? Because you got the chance to watch hot air balloon! Hmm… I don’t know whether you will be excited as I did or not, but I was really excited when watching those hot air balloon slowly fully pumped with hot air, and rise onto the sky. Sometimes, you may find similar hot air balloon every year, because normally who participate the fiesta are still the same group of people. I remembered I woke up with Danny at 4am just to get prepared in order to witness the beautiful hot air balloon rise up. Putrajaya is super big, it isn’t easy to find the place without GPS, unless you know that area very very well. Other than hot air balloon contest, you can also find a lot of other event and activities here. I didn’t go for the night time but hopefully next year, I can attend that session. There are stalls here, so don’t need to worry you can’t find thing to eat and drink while waiting to watch the hot air balloons. However, I encourage you to bring tissue. It isn’t easy to find toilets, I mean those in the building. You would need to walk a very long distance. They have set up mobile toilet, but it was very dirty. Thus, tissue is a MUSTBRING item when you join the hot air balloon fiesta here.

It is a two days event each year in Putrajaya here and this was the first time I participated in it. It held at 12th and 13th March this year and it was massive crowds! You can see tourists, families, couples… I even saw a Malay couple wearing their traditional costumes to take wedding photos with the hot air balloons(what a fantastic memory!). There were loads of activities prepared for visitors that divided into 7 or 8 zones, such as green zone for extreme games like paint-ball, laser tag, bumper orbing, solo skyriding, cold inflation etc; orange zone for helicopter riding; blue zone for hot air balloon show; kids play area; picnic area and many more. Certain activities require charges and you have to book online like MONTHSBEFORE the event to secure your ticket!(And that was why I wasn’t able to join the picnic session…), but no worry as timetable is provided online in showing the times of each activity, so people can go for what they wanted and not to missed the parts. There were also uncountable stalls selling foods and beverages, bike renting, bubbles blowing, cruise etc. Some foods might get a bit pricey compared to the outside but you know that’s how people do businesses~ There were people brought their own stuffs for picnic and enjoyed the sunset nearby the lake. The sunset was beautiful like a huge salted egg yolk and I enjoyed the night glow of the hot air balloons! Perhaps we can try riding them next year(if I can book tickets earlier)?
