This place is what I call value for money! Most of the other KTV places usually charge per head, but this place charges per hour. Therefore, they charge differently depending on the size of the room. They have the small room which fits about 2 – 4 people, the medium room, large room and party room(I’ve only tried the small room before). It costs RM15−18 per hour throughout the week even after 8PM(which is usually the most expensive) — therefore if you think about it, it will only cost RM15−18 per person for 4 hours if you visit with 4 people! They even have a promotion now that entitles students to receive 50% their room rate on specific days and hours. Although that place does not look as premium as some of the others, but it does the job comparably. Do definitely give them a try as I am very satisfied with the price and quality.

Oh such a dodgy karaōke but when I finished my session and pay, weeee. Teo Heng is located right inside Sunway Giza in Kota Damansara and is great for a session of karaōke without breaking the bank. Entering the karaōke hall you’ll be overwhelmed by how yellow and plastic feeling the wall is coloured. The receptionist will greet you in a Chinese manner(the Chinese slang can sound loud at times) and check your booking on their hand written log book. You’ll then make the payment and head over to your room. It’s not necessary to book but if you’re worried, just make a call to make sure there is a room. On the karaōke room though, sound quality and the mike is rather bad. The mike spoils sometimes and after pressing the help button, they came for the rescue after 40 minutes. Service at the speed of thunder indeed. I don’t see any food menu around either so I presume there isn’t any(but if there is you better not order as well). It feels the place is rather unbearable, but for the price you’re paying everything is about all right. We spent about RM14 per person on a Friday night and I shall come again if I’m in the mood to sing but broke!

I love singing so much and I would go karaōke every other day if I could! I’m sure many of you like singing as much as I do too. The reason we are not doing this activity too often mostly because of the price we are paying. Going to places like Neway or RedBox would usually cost a bomb, and you’d probably be paying more than RM50 if you are going there during non-peak hours. Thinking where you could go for a more cost-conscious KTV centre? Why not go to Teo Heng KTV at Sunway Giza! First of all, they charge per room per hour instead of per head per hour. By doing so, you are actually spending less. Also, you can control the cost by deciding how many hours you would like to sing. Teo Heng is a smoke-free KTV centre, so no smoking in their premise. This is really good news for me as I really dislike walking out with my hair smell like cigarette. Teo Heng doesn’t provide food, but you are allow to order food from outside or bring your own food, and I think this is really good. Most of the KTV would tell you the food and drinks are«included» in the hours, but in fact you are actually paying for the food. Overall, I think Teo Heng is a very family-friendly place to have fun with your family and friends. Just one down side, their rooms are not as soundproof as the big KTV centre so it might sound slightly more noisy from the outside.

I bet many of you love go KTV with a bunch of friends. Except student rates, although all different KTV will have promotion for working adults. Still, it needs more than RM40 and above, especially for Friday nights. Plus, you have no choice but to take that package like 3 – 4 hours. What if you only want to stay there for 2 hours or less? If you don’t finish the entire session, you think it is kinda wasteful, isn’t it? I have a BESTKTV place to introduce — Teo Heng KTV Studio at Sunway Giza! Recommended by my friend, Teo Heng is a KTV studio you pay per hour, instead of package. It is a smoke-free KTV, sorry to those who smoke, this is not a place you can smoke. All their roos were powered by their in-house karaōke brand BMB and Bestkara sound system, with also wireless microphone. The song request system is touch screen monitor, or you can even use your iphone/ipad to be your remote control! Not only that, let say you would like to revisit Teo Heng next time, but you don’t want to lose your song list now, no worries, you can save it in Teo Heng’s system, with your mobile phone as the ID. Then, retrieve it during the coming visit! Hey! You are not dreaming, Teo Heng is giving you this promising service! Normally, KTV charge more on drinks and food. If you want to celebrate birthday, you either buy their not-so-okay cake or you pay charge to bring in your cake. In Teo Heng, you are free to bring in your food. But make sure you keep the karaōke room clean. Overall, I am super satisfied with Teo Heng’s service. Oh… By the way, I forgot to mention earlier, the price you pay isn’t per pax, but PERROOM! For example, RM10 per hour, means you pay RM10 for that hour regardless how many of persons. So, the more buddies you have, you pay lesser. Wow!!! Teo Heng is a heaven, isn’t it? Come, grab your friends now and sing all night long!
