I have never seen this place not crowded. Despite the huge turnouts, the crowds are usually well managed by the floor staff that is quick and on top of things. The few inconveniences may include bad acoustics(everyone is loud because everyone else is loud), and the fact that you have to squeeze your way through the many different sized tables towards the counter to pay the bill after. Super Kitchen has got a good variety of pan mee be it if you want it dry, soupy, traditional, thin noodle, thick noodle, flat noodle, pre-chilified or otherwise. As this place is famed for its chilli pan mee, I recommend one to not take the dried chillies too lightly. The first time I came with friends, I could only mimic what they did to try to get the best food experience out of it. They poured a generous amount of dried chilli and mixed it in their bowl of noodles. I thinking myself smart, took about half of that and poured it into my bowl, absurdly reassured that it will not be too spicy despite the 100% lack of evidence to support my theory. Two bites in was ample time for the fiery pain to set my entire mouth on fire, reminding me of this quote from Harry Potter, «indeed, your failure to understand that there are things much worse than death has always been your greatest weakness.» Indeed. It was a great bowl of pan mee though. I love the broth very much, as it’s tasty with a good variety of ingredients all pan mee should have and more(more than average amount of dried anchovies so yay!). Based on the well done-ness of the egg, I’d say the meals have been mostly consistent throughout the many times I’ve dined here.

It burns! Too spicy! Awesome chilli pan mee! Super Kitchen is one of the better and probably the best place to have a bowl of chilli pan mee, in my honest opinion. For the branch at SS2, this would be the easiest one to find a parking spot. The other branches are situated in areas where finding a parking is impossible. The service here is also good, and because of my frequent visits, the staff has recognised me and know what I would be ordering. Yes, I do have a standard order. A bowl of chilli pan mee, a small serving of fried dumplings and two glasses of iced chinese tea. It came to a point that I know the exact amount to pay. The food is good and also consistent.

If you are near SS2 and you are craving for chili pan mee, Super Kitchen Chili Pan Mee would probably be the go-to place. It is famous for the chili pan mee, and the place is crowded most of the time. The restaurant is located at the next block to Kayu Nasi Kandar, and you can spot the yellow signboard easily. Although the chili pan mee wasn’t really the best, but it’s still pretty decent. The egg was always cooked perfectly and it tied the chilies together with the noodles. Go easy on the dried chilies if you have low heat tolerance, because the noodles will get super spicy at the end. Apart from chili pan mee, they have fish head noodles and curry noodles but I’ve yet to try any of these. Getting a parking space at this area is not easy, so you have to be really patience in finding a parking space.

SS2 is a food paradise at Petaling Jaya area, found this Pan Mee stall at nearby housing area, loving their dry pan mee with half boiled egg with it, when the egg yolk burst and you just blend it with the noodle and black soya sauce, everything taste heavenly, the only thing that not that impressing is this place is hard to find parking space because it is housing area especially during lunch time, it’s almost impossible to look for a parking space. to be honest, there is even illegal parking all around because people are rushing for lunch. Overall, I am loving the pan mee :)

Super Kitchen is a popular place to go to for Chilli Pan Mee or CPM for short. It gets really crowded during lunch hour, not to mention the terrible amount of parking spaces available too. The noodles here isn’t that great compared to their CPM rivals around town. I personally feel that there are other places that serves better noodles, but Super Kitchen has better accesibility than those places. Don’t get me wrong though, it isn’t as great, but it is still tasty. The best part of the dish is the egg, the most important ingredient in the bowl. The pork here is also pretty good, you can order extras as side dishes to go with your noodles. The Chilli here packs a punch, but lacks in terms of flavor. I suggest giving this place a try as it may be your cup of tea.
