This is the only Japanese joint that delivers your food to you if you want, perhaps there are others but I have yet to know any other places that does so. What they are famous for is written in bold on their signboard — Japanese Curry Rice. The interior is a little like how fast food in Japan is like, something like a Japaneae Mcdonalds but the food is much tastier than the Western chain. This place is mostly for those who have an affinity with rice because this place is carb heavy, basically a bowl of said rice, meat, or just Japanese curry served with miso soup, egg and pickled vegetables to cleanse the palate. They are most famous for Gyudon which is simply beef bowl rice. I heard that the beef is from Australia, not from the land of the rising sun but it still tasted alright, not the best. We had Teriyako Chicken Mayo on rice, if you’re really hungry, go with the L size as the portion is not as big as you think. The meat portion is really generous and we couldn’t finish our meals. We also tried one of the curry plates, basically just rice drenched in Japanese curry and chicken with steamed vegetables. I would say it’s not what I expected, doesn’t taste anything like Japanese curry plus the vegetables were limp, not palatable at all. If you pass by and are dying of hunger then maybe you can try but I guarantee you wouldn’t revisit. I’m not=p

If you’re a lover of everything Japanese then you’d probably have thought about wanting to try Japanese food once or twice. Not just the normal and ordinary sushi but a larger variety of their delicious and different foods. I went to this Japanese restaurant or should I say fast food joint at Sunway Giza and what caught my attention at first was actually the words«Japanese curry rice». I’ve always wanted to try it but it’s always hard to find halal Japanese food around here. Yes, I repeat. This place serves Halal Japanese food. They have the certificate for that as well; so no worries. The atmosphere of the joint felt like a fast food joint but with a touch of Japanese interior. There weren’t many people so ordering food took little time. I ordered the chicken curry rice and honestly, for me, I was not disappointed. I’ve always wanted to try it and this was like a dream come true. The first bite was exciting. It didn’t taste like the Malaysian curry. It was sweet and not at all spicy. The rice was real sticky rice! Not like the rice some Japanese joints use. Overall, the service was good and fast. The food was good to me. It was something different. I would definitely go back here again to try another dish.

Sukiya caters for people who want good food for a cheap price as their food is all RM10 and below. There’s free wifi and it’s air-conditioned. Also, the food comes fast and the service is good. My favourite food there is the gyudon with egg and spring onions medium sized as the large size is too much, unless you’re a big eater. Furthermore, they use limited oil in their cooking, so it’s not very unhealthy and there’s very little food that’s fried on the menu.
