Average ipoh hor fun soup. I «ta pau» back(take away) as it was a warm day. They separated the hor fun and soup. The soup was very sweet as it cooled down by the time I was back. Not good, have to eat there for full enjoyment. But Don’t drink too much of the soup as it was really sweet(MSG or sugar).

In my opinion, Soo Kee has the best hor fun outside of Ipoh. The noodles and broth are just right(if you order it soup-style), and the bean sprouts are a nice crunch next to the soft textures. You’re missing out if you don’t order the steamed chicken. The chicken is so soft and smooth, you’d think it was made of silk. Ultimate comfort food right there. Plus, the staff are made of elderly people, which is nice if you want to feel like you’re in Ipoh. They’re super nice and accommodating, and the ladies are a fun bunch to talk to if you’re eating alone. Parking is a nuisance because it’s in right opposite the market, but I often have someone waiting in the car to tapau it for lunch. Especially when I’m sick!
