Located right inside the top floor of isetan in 1Utama, Musashi has arguably the most authentic and flavorful ramen outside of Japan. The noodles are nice and springy and the charsiu pork is done to perfection. However what makes this ramen so special is the thick and very tasty pork broth. Malaysians who like it spicy should order the Aka option which has a chilli oil added. The restaurant is named after legendary samurai Musashi Miyamoto and the décor reflects this as well as the chefs who have a habit of shouting, «YOSHA!» when flinging the noodles to dry them, so don’t be surprised when you first hear it. Prices are not cheap but pretty much standard for most ramen restaurants like this.

Located in isetan, you cannot miss menya musashi as the cooks there actually shout some Japanese phrase when they make the ramen. By far the tastiest ramen I’ve tried in kl/pj. My personal favourite is always the combination soup base. If you like spicy go for the Red and Yellow(aka ki) which is really good. If you like garlic like myself, go for the Black and Red(kuro aka). And I have to mention about the super delicious egg as well that I got all the time I ate there. My eggs were always perfectly cooked. And the chashu is to die for. Il The miso ramen is also quite nice but I found it to be a little too salty. So if you like your ramen to be more salty definitely try the miso ramen. There’s also the dry version which is the tsukemen which I’ve tried once. The broth was nice and thick. You need to dip your noodles in the broth. I prefer the soup version more than this dry version.

Not your usual chain Japanese experience. Pretty basic and focuses on the food. Service is fast on a small and focused menu. Portions are decent and quite tasty. A meal here will leave you satisfied portion wise. Also of note — no service charge!

LOVETHISSPOT :) The most interesting scene to watch while eating with the chefs chanting and saying«welcome». They are considered to be some rather pricy ramen but boy the taste is AMAZINGLYAWESOME. I love their original and spicy version and it really was worth the price. It’s RM38++ but you get the best ramen in your mouth. And you can add more fried garlic and spicy chilli powder and soy sauce or whatever you need to enhance the flavours. But seriously I can do with or without all these extras :) They have the perfectly cooked eggs! Partially hard boiled partially soft boiled. And their pork meat was great too! It’s SOOOOOOOGOOOOOODDD :) Really, if you haven’t been here, BRINGYOURASSHEREONEDAY. You will never regret this :) Ok after writing this review I think it’s time for my dinner now. And guess where am I heading towards now?

If you want a different Japanese dining experience, you should come to the Japanese restaurants here in one Utama Isetan. The service here is great and the ramen here is spot on. The chefs here cook the ramen with a lot of passion and energy, they also greet the customers really loudly too. Here in menya musashi, they have 4 different oil based broth. Onion, curry, garlic+shallots and chilli-oil based broths. You can also choose to mix your broths together to get a more flavorful taste for your ramen. Their ramen is really filling and they have lots of other ingredients in them like pork, egg, bamboo shoot and black fungus. They also serve some side dishes and the one that I tried was the grilled Gyoza. It tasted really delicious. A lot of people only come here for their different oil-based broth. The only downside to this restaurant is that the green tea here isn’t refillable.

Passing by at one utama and always heard someone like chanting at the kitchen? You are right it is from menya musashi is a Japanese restaurant serve mainly ramen and rice too but people always drop by for their ramen mostly, there is four types of broth you can choose in the menu I chose their miso broth with ramen and char siew, apparently the ramen is awesome and the broth is yummy, and the set also include fried gyoza and salad, their service is good and their dish come out very quickly because I was rushing for a movie that time. Overall this restaurant should called as a stall instead of a restaurant, because there have very limited seats for you and your friends. and the price is reasonable too. Not sure why they have is culture like shouting after a bowl of ramen has cooked. Well, I don’t understand Japanese language so I am not sure what is that about. I rate is eight out of ten if I need to :)

Who doesn’t like ramen? It’s basically the best replacement when you are sick of eating rice for the week. Instead of just any ramen stalls, head on to One Utama’s Isetan and hunt down Menya Musashi @ Eat Paradise. Try to look past the horrible car park situation as this bowl of ramen is extremely worth it. The ramen comes in four flavours. You can choose the Shiro, which is the onion oil; Kuro, which is the garlic oil with fried shallots; Ki as in the curry oil or Aka, the chilli oil. You can even combine the flavours if you want. The ramen with Kuro or garlic oil with fried shallots has a black coloured broth. Don’t let the colour deceive you, as it taste absolutely phenomenal. It comes with thick slices of pork and an almost hard-boiled egg, all soaked in the delicious garlic-oiled broth. Do add on the fried garlic for more crunchy bites. If you prefer something a little spicier, get the Ki or the Aka and mix it with the Kuro. The combination of both spicy and salty is like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. If you like, you can add more pork slices as well but just to warn you, the pork slices can get a little too fatty. Just cut out the fatty sides and enjoy the tender protein part. It melts into your mouth and I suggest you slurp your ramen along. Do also note that the green tea or any kind of tea is not refillable.

One Utama consists too many Japanese restaurant where most of the customers always have dilemma on whether to try this or that Japanese restaurant. Alright enough for the dilemma. Are you walking to and fro in One Utama but have yet to decide which Japanese restaurant to go? Fret not! Go for Menya Musashi that situated in Isetan between old wing and new wing! Their ramen taste super good! It really was the best Japanese pork ramen I ever tasted. I can guarantee you pay more for more benefits! It is always filled with people since they serve one of the most delicious ramen in town. So far I haven’t discover a better place that serves Japanese pork ramen. One word: Marvellous!

As I am not an expert on ramen; i would not stress so much on the food, but I must say — I really enjoyed both the experience dining at Menya Musashi in One Utama and the food! This modest restaurant is one of a few Japanese restaurants hidden inside the Old Wing Isetan. Let me teach you a fool-proof method of locating the restaurant just in case you cannot find it. Step 1: Walk to the Eat Paradise section of Isetan which is located on the second floor. Step 2: Close your eyes. Step 3: Use your sense of hearing and follow the battle cries of men; working hard in the restaurant kitchen to cook up a delicious bowl of ramen. Yes, they yell every time they take the noodles out of the water and attempt to shake the water off it(this is purely from my observation and I do not know the real reason behind that). And finally, with good food and environment, what’s more to ask for.
