Hobbies are popping up in Malaysia with the locals taking up various activities like board games, robots and recently toy trains! Well, it’s only natural that a store would open serving just that purpose since there are boardgame cafes and shooting ranges. This quaint store on the top floor of Paradigm sells miniature trains and model sets, manufactured from well known toy makers such as Roco and Fleishmann so expect good quality products. They have quite a good number of choices depending on what you are looking for, it could be for beginner collectors or full fledged professionals looking to expand their railway or just collect for fun. The worker at the shop was also informative and was able to describe and recommend the items we need to look at for a particular purpose. But their selections can be quite limiting if you are already a veteran collector as some of the products may not be what you’re looking for but feel free to inquire if they can possibly do a special order for you. After all, how often do you chance upon a shop selling something so exclusive like model trains?

Usually toy trains are mean for children and you might thought this shop is target for children. Well, I would say this is more like a hobby shop to me and I believe the targeted market are adult and children who obsessed with toy train. This shop is solely mean for toy train collector because they sell no other toy but only toy train and toy train’s equipment and accessories. They sell different type of train like electric toy train, classic toy train, speed toy train, atlas toy train, Lionel toy train and many mores. They also have those miniature accessories/decoration like horse, barn, post light, houses etc. that you can display aside with your train models. Me and my girlfriend were amazed with the electric«chu chu» train moving around the railway on the aisle in the shop. Displayed with miniature building, trees, road, humans and cars. It’s just like a small town. We were so exited and thought to buy some to play, but we didn’t because of the price. The trains are expensive. Even a small post light cost about RM50++. I guess we might need to save up more before we start this hobby. If you are toy train collector/player, I believe you will love this shop. It might be pricey to me but I know nothing is expensive for those collector because quality and uniqueness are their top priority. This shop is located at paradigm mall near to Kaison.
