4.5 stars. Had a really great dinner here but taken 0.5 stars off due to the higher pricing. We had a celebratory dinner here and started with their version of the seasonal Lousang(RM48), which featured fresh fruit and vegetables. It was very refreshing though personally I felt that the honey passionfruit sauce was not sticky enough to bind everything together. Also tried the clear Tom Yum soup which did hit all the right spots in terms of spiciness and sourness, with very fresh seafood. But portion is probably decent for 3 pax max only. Then was very happy we decided to go for the Panang Phet(Duck durry) as the curry itself was very creamy and aromatic. Great for eating with white rice! Also love that they added some mandarin segments to lift up the overall creaminess. Dessert of the floating purple rubies was great too as I loved yam. Great balance between the sweet of the rubies and the savoury of the coconut milk. Décor was pleasant too, with cosy nooks if you want a quiet dinner too and bigger tables for bigger groups. This dinner was around RM183 which is a bit on the high side, but given quality of the food, is worth the splurge once in a while.

Got my palates opened and ready for their variety of Thai food here with one of their appetizers — Miang Kiam — which you’d be given a tray of condiments to be wrapped with cha plu leaves. I have to say that since the last satisfying Miang Kiam which I had in Thailand, this is one of the very few encounters in KL that I can taste some authentic Miang Kiam. Another dish that I will surely get each time I visit a Thai restaurant would be Tom Yum soup. Compared to a lot of other restaurants that I had been to, I must say that their prices here despite not being on the cheap side, still could be considered fair looking at their portion. In my opinion, the small serving would definitely be enough to be shared between 2 to 3 people — that’s unless if you’re having it as your main dish. For my main dish, I picked their beef noodle soup. Beef noodle soup is another dish that I always order whenever I spot it on a menu. Their beef noodle soup here would be in my opinion worth a 4.5 star. I wished for the soup to be more spiced up, but aside from that everything is good. Talking about their Australian beef cutlets used for this dish — so tender and so good. It’s definitely not hard to notice the little details that they have paid attention to in their dishes. We also had a salad to share. Serving was generous, and it has a lot of seafood in there. Slightly spicy, so for those who couldn’t take spicy food too well, you might want to request for the spiciness to be toned down a little bit. Drinks wise, I would highly recommend their coconut shake which taste natural and not too sweetened. Great beverage to have during a hot afternoon for sure! They are also known as one of the Thai restaurants in KL that has the widest array of Thai desserts served. I have tried their Look Choop and Tar Kho which I would definitely recommend as they are not overly sweet. Especially for the Look Choop which are made of mung bean paste, and wrapped delicately and coloured to appear as different cute little fruits — you would just keep popping these bite size creatures into your mouth! They do have RM20 and RM25 lunch sets too, served with drinks and desserts of the day. For this quality of food, I would say that it’s well worth the money.
