Meh… I ordered the turkey ham Benedict. Worst Benedict I’ve ever had – the ‘brioche’ was just a piece of cold bread. The eggs too, weren’t freshly poached, but rather pre-cooked and slapped on top of the ham. Service might be quick, but clearly it’s because the food just sort sits there and is thrown together hazardously. The coffee is pretty good though. I’d rather go to antipodean next door, at least for when it comes to brunch.

This is one of my favorite brunch places in Bangsar. For a French Bistro, you get a lot without spending an exorbitant amount of money. My picks in the menu are the soft boiled eggs with finger toast, and the turkey ham and Brie croissant. The ambiance is really nice, and it is a cool place for dates.

Just another try for Egg Benedict today, it’s not bad but not so impressive. Ordered smoked salmon bcoz they don’t serve bacon as a halal restaurant. There was a queue during lunch time, but it only took me less than 10 mins to get a seat. Food was served very fast, and you can see their cooking if you just pass by the bar. Definitely will try other dishes next time.

The wait staff of this establishment are courteous & friendly. The main chef & owner is French. Therefore, they serve authentic French food throughout the day. It is a nice place to bring your date for an intimate meal.

I love this place. Pastries, danishes, breads, cookies, tartes, sandwiches and so much more. Exactly what I am looking for. I love my carbs and if they are in french style even better. Tuesday through Sunday from 5pm onwards you can enjoy 30% off on all baked goods so get going. The cost is very affordable and the food absolutely delicious. My favourites so far are Éclair au Chocolat, Le Vegetarien which is grilled veggies, tapenade and sun dried tomato spread on french baguette. Oh my. There are plenty desserts I could mention but I don’t want to get you to hungry so just head over there and treat yourself with some.

I love this place, it is nicely decorated with the touch of French-bakery style. I love their checker tiles, the poster on the wall, the kitchen that you can directly see from your seat, and of course, the food, especially the cakes. You definitely have to try their tart de la mangue, the tart itself is so pretty decorated with few slices of mango stack on top of the tart. It has bright yellowish and orangish colour that will just attract you right away. You also have to try their La Tarte Calamansi, it so beautifully done that you don’t even feel like eating it. I think you need to prepare camera going here, because you are going to keep taking photos. They also have sandwiches and quiches if you do feel like a light meal.

I have only visited Yeast twice but they have definitively secured itself a place in my favorites. Service is superbly commendable, swift and accurate. I like that the servers are friendly and eager to please. I can’t say the same about their competitor — antipodean. Food wise, it’s the perfect place for brunch. I had their eggs Benedict and it was well worth the rm22. It’s rm2 cheaper than antipodeans’. Loved their generous serving of hollandaise sauce. My friend has their egg florentine for rm22 also. You can also add sides, like spinach or sausages which we did! Yummy, good flavours, well prepared and definitely value for money. I will back to try more items from the menu and their desserts look tempting.

Yeast Bistronomy has officially become my new favourite breakfast place. They accept reservations for lunch and dinner, but not for breakfast which is usually when they’re the busiest. I’d recommend getting there early to avoid having to wait too long to get a table. Of course the wait is longer if you want to sit indoors. Being located in Bangsar, parking can be a challenge. A tip would be to park in Bangsar Village instead, and it’s just a short 2 or 3 minute walk to the café. I tried the Brioche French Toast with Caramelized Apples and it was amazing. The bread is so soft and is drizzled with a caramel sauce. It’s not overly sweet and is something different compared to the usual layer of icing sugar French toast is typically served with. I ordered a side of chicken sausages which tasted pretty ordinary. I didn’t like the caramelized apples too much because I personally found the taste to be a bit too strong. Their Valhorna Hot Chocolate is to die for. It’s a bit pricey but worth every cent. It’s so creamy and it’s just such a joy to drink because it doesn’t have a thick layer of froth on top. Even if you’re not a hot chocolate kind of person, you have to try this when you visit Yeast Bistronomy. During peak hours, the service can be a bit slow, but the staff are very attentive and did try their best to make my visit a pleasant one.

The first time I tried going to Yeast a few years ago, the queue was insane. This was on a Sunday, about 10 am, so I figured, let’s try this again another time. The next time I tried, I managed to get in and it is easy to see how this restaurant managed to garner such a huge following within such a short time. Their crouque monsieur is delicious! Though some people have this for lunch, I actually had it for breakfast. No regrets! The pastries are incredible. The croissant served as Yeast is one of the best in KL. Décor is minimal and the place could feel a little cramped. I wouldn’t come here to linger for too long, but for a nice crisp breakfast on a chill Sunday? Definitely.

Came to Yeast for an anniversary date once and I highly recommend that you make a booking beforehand as I don’t think they really entertain walk-in customers as much. Yeast specializes in French cuisine in a dimly lit, romantic and comfortable setting with paper lined tables that offers an initimate yet relaxed environment. Arguably one of the better French restaurants in Bangsar, Yeast has a menu that is simple and laced with classic French fare. We had the foie gras which was an interesting combination of goose liver, wine soaked cabbage and balsamic sauce with gave it a slightly sweet flavor. Their seafood spaghetti was also delicious — served with King prawns and topped off with parsley and shallots. And of course, it’s almost a necessity to end a French meal with the ultimate French dessert, Crème Brulee. The one at Yeast was creamy enough with a thin sugar glacing nicely charred and beautifully made. It came with a side serve of ice cream to complement it. Overall, a fantastic experience at Yeast with courteous staff and a soothing ambience to wine and dine in. Don’t forget to make a booking though or risk getting disappointed! Will definitely be recommending this place to friends as well.

I love coming here for breakfasts and my usual would be the Croissant Egg Mayo and a cup of latte. E-V-E-R-Y-T-I-M-E ! Yes i can be boring sometimes! Hehe but i just crave for that all the time before i come here. The other reason why i would usually come here is for their breads and pastries. Id buy their baguettes to take away and enjoy them at home with my home cooked roast chicken, beef casseroles and stuff

I’ve always passed by Yeast to go to Antipodean but never actually thought of trying their food. I finally decided to try when my friend wanted to meet me there. The interior of the restaurant is so bright and vibrant that it just gives u the fresh feeling. The items on the menu seemed limited but after much thinking, i opted for Brioche French Toast with Caramelized Apples(RM16.00). Sounds so yummy doesn’t it? ;) My friend opted for *take a deep breath* Grilled Chicken, Basil Pesto, Tomatoes & Arugula on Black Olives Bread served with French Fries & Green Salad(RM24.00) That’s a lot of ingredients in one dish! My french toast was so yummy that i finished it within minutes. The bread was thick and fluffy and the caramel sauce was perfect. My friend’s dish was also very tasty except for the bread, which tasted a little sour for me. For dessert, we shared a Valrhona Chocolate & Mocha Tartlet. When we saw it on the menu, it seemed like it would be too much for one person, but when it arrived, it was the size of a regular cookie, and that alone was RM14.00! I was very happy with the taste of food but not too pleased with the portion size and price. I felt that the portion size was a little too small for the price being paid. I would go back to try their other dishes but I would not say that Yeast impressed me.

Yeast is a very pretty place to have lunch or dinner. The pastries are super fresh and it is very cozy to be inside. The setting of the tables are a little close together which I think is very european-like. I’ve had their specials of the day and I must say, I was rather surprised by my dishes. They took me by surprise and they taste amazing. Service was a little slow due to a pretty busy crowd but the waiters tried to serve us as soon as they could. It would be a little on the pricey side when it comes to the menu. The food was really savory. Parking can be tough as it is around the telawi area so park your car in Bangsar Village 2 if you’re not planning to spend some time looking for a parking spot.

Yeast is a family run french restaurant that serves authentic french food in a french environment — a whole package! They serve delicious food such as Black Olive Ciabatta, Macarons, Chocolate Danish and so on. The service is good, but the only catch is the expensive pricing, if not for that, I would be going to Yeast more frequently.

Yeast is a decent place for brunch in Bangsar. Prices are a bit high but considering the food is pretty tasty, I’d much rather eat here than step foot into Antipodean next door. The smoked duck and Gruyère cheese quiche was really nice, but the fries next to it were the generic shoestring kind. I’m not sure if they make it in-house but it didn’t taste fresh. The brandade with salted cod and mashed potato was quite nice though — a bit rich for one person to finish but the bread on the side helped. For me, Yeast does best in the bakery and breads department. Their chocolate almond Danish is divine, as well as the smoked duck and Gruyère cheese puff. I’m not sure if they still run the offer, but I used to take advantage of the bread ‘happy hours’ where you can get a 30% discount on bakery stuff.

A little piece of France in Bangsar! You will be greeted with the aroma of freshly baked bread when you walk through the doors of this French café. The bakery at the front of the café bakes all sorts of French delicacies from croissants, Madeleines and macarons to their one of a kind duck cheese puff. Yeast’s dine-in menu has an interesting combination of French cuisine and European-Asian fusion dishes, which I unfortunately did not get to try. However, there are many reviews online praising their main courses. The only downside about this café is the parking.

In the most of Kuala Lumpur food blogs you will find that Yeast is the #1 brunch place in the whole city! That leads to a very simple rule: reserve your spot in advance! You can enjoy French cuisine and elegant interior design. The best thing about this restaurant is that you can also have a really good dinner: A must try is Sea Food Spaghetti with Garlic, Shallots & White Wine Parsley Sauce. I have never seen King Prawns that big. The prices are really high, so if you are looking for a good quality but you are not ready to pay 40– 50 rm then better go to Antipodean just next door. They offer you seatings outside and inside, so enjoy your meal in the heat of kuala lumpur or in the pleasant A/C room.
