XL Shop

Comic enthusiasts and figurine collectors rejoice! Look no further as this is the Holy Grail of cartoon models and manga figurines. Imagine my excitement when this shop first opened. I wasn’t quite foaming at the mouth but I did have some trouble focusing. I could see most of my childhood heroes magnificently posing within their glass displays. The detail work on these figurines are second to none and their colors are all so vibrant and exactly what I imagines them to be.
What was more important to me is that within this tiny shop housed my greatest superhero of all time, Sailormon. I have collected all their comics, have an endless supply of their cards and know each of their powers by heart. Lets just say that I embodied their spirit growing up.
They don’t only carry famous manga characters from the 90’s, they’ve also got up-​to-​date figurines of more recent and popular characters from the Marvel and DC Comics realm such as X-​men, Spiderman, Iron Man and Superman.
In total, I think I have spent a little over rm500 in this shop throughout the years it has been there. The Sailormoon figurines now make very unique and beautiful decorations in my living room. I would think of it as geeky at times but it represented so much of myself growing up that I don’t really care what people think of it anymore. Besides, after all these years, I have bloomed to be one very hot geek thanks to Sailormoon and her friends.

I remembered during my teenage years, this is probably one of the most anticipated shops to visit when I’m shopping in Mid Valley shopping mall. Which dude wouldn’t like visiting a hobby store/​toy store (it is more of a collectors toy store)? Anyway, this store specialised in exotic collectible figurines sourced from Japan, Hong Kong and America. If you like collecting figurines from characters of your favourite animé or movies, this is definitely a place for you to do your shopping.
If you can’t find the figurines that you wanted, you can always place an order with the shop keeper and they will help you to source for the toy/​good you need. I remembered I got my first BB gun from this shop and went nuts with it with a buddy of mine (hahaha, boys will always be boys).
Anyway, this is a great shop for those that has a special interest in collectibles and toys.
