When I planned on getting my first tattoo, I looked at several places and VTattoo offers the most competitive pricing, without compromising on quality. I have since accumulated several tattoos, and all are done by the artists at this studio. There are several outlets of Vtattoo around Petaling Street, with over 20 artists at work.
The boss and most of the artists are very friendly and professional. The artists vary in their style and skills, though. So, know what you want and choose the person to do your tattoo wisely. Don’t be afraid to ask for an artist’s portfolio and talk to them about their experience. VTattoo does have some budding artists who are only capable of handling simple motifs. If you are getting a complex design, ask for someone who’s capable of delivering, because that stuff is going to be permanent! At VTattoo, you have plenty of artists to choose from and if unsure, ask the boss — Mr. Vincent Cheah — to recommend the best person to do your tattoo.
My only gripe with VTattoo is they are very permissive of smoking inside the studio. So, if you’re a non-​smoker, brace yourself for some second hand smoking. Fortunately, the problem is bearable. Aside from that, the store is kept clean and they do adhere to standard industry practices, such as using new needles.
