Nice place nestled in the middle of such an old neighbourhood. It has a calm and composed atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable choosing your pack. The sashimi comes in a prepacked pack of three different types priced quite reasonably. We also tried the scallops which I found was slightly fishy. A nice tip would be to order the pork noodle from next door and have a very luxurious breakfast

A friend from out of town was interested in trying this place so we braved the traffic on Saturday which later tested our patience as we had a hard time finding parking. Still excitement fueled us and we managed to score a table right outside. Ordered my tasty Loh Mee from the kopitam along with my kopi peng whilst my friends chose their cuts. We had salmon, butterfish and yellowtail. The tuna & uni were already sold out. It was all meaty and considered affordable. Less than RM80 for the lot. I probably will go back for more salmon and hopefully get my hands on the scallop and uni. As for the other fishes we had today, would give them a miss for other tastier selections if available hehe.

Found this through Facebook and recommendation of people. So, YL and I decided to pop by one day. What we didn’t expect was… the parking was horrible! We went round and round for like 20 minutes till we found a parking *Thank god we drove his car!* Then, we walked over to the shop. Now, don’t be surprised if the shop is not what you expect it to be. Yes, it’s only half a shop, next to a kopitiam(BTW, the loh mee from that kopitiam is not bad!). So, we walked in and the guy introduced his products and what not to us. We were only interested in the salmon sashimi. Hence, we took only that. And there are no tables and seats for the customers there. So you have to sit at the kopitiam and order drinks in order to have your sashimi on the spot. The quality is on the average level. But I gotta say that the price is REALLYCHEAP for that amount of salmon! :D Price Rating: 5⁄5(Really CHEAPPPPP!!) Quality Rating: 3⁄5(The slices are thick.but.it’s not as good as what I thought it would be) Overall Experience: 3⁄5

Ever since I discovered this place, I have been going here for my sashimi fix without burning a hole in my pocket. Thick slabs of fresh norwegian salmon arrive every morning to sashimi lovers who wait in line anxiously ready to get their hands on the best catch of the day. This isn’t really a restaurant but more like a wholesaler who gets their supply of salmon sashimi fresh daily. However, you can opt to eat your salmon fresh there as they have set up a few tables and chairs on the roadside, nothing glamourous as this isn’t a restaurant or bring it home. A 260 gram sashimi can easily cost you about RM20 which is such a steal considering the sky high prices you pay at japanese restaurants! They’ve also got fresh hokkaido scallops on sale and other frozen seafood imported directly from Japan such as lobster and snow crab leg. I would go on a sashimi binge every time I visit this place as the prices are too irresistible and the quality of their salmon is great too, with bits of white fats that gives the salmon a rich flavour. You’ll have to come early in the morning of course as that’s when you’ll score the best sashimi. Parking is difficult here as its in a shoplot area so do carpool if you’re coming in a group.

It wasn’t until recently that I became an avid fan of Sashimi, having not bothered to try the stuff for the large chunk of my existence, when I finally did, it’s safe to say I was immediately sold and as if godsend I discovered this little store from right under my nose, where Sashimi is the focus. Not to be mistaken for a restaurant, Top Catch Fisheries provides maybe some of the freshest sashimi out there, beautifully sliced and very affordably priced where customers can choose to eat right outside at the kopitiam next door albeit the weird combination of dishes. Trust me, the quality of sashimi here is up there with the best and would have definitely set you back way more had you chose to dine in some fancy schmancy restaurant instead
