The Rootz Club

Liegt etwas versteckt an einen Einkaufszentrum oben auf dem Dach. Es ist ein großer Raum, mit Bar, vielen Sitzgelegenheiten und schmalen wegen auf denen man tanzen kann. Eingerichtete Tanzfläche gibt es nicht. Ich fand etwas schade, das der Club eigentlich sehr cool war, man jedoch auch in Jogginghose rein kam. Und leider war es sehr sehr kalt in diesem Club. Die Allofs stand gefühlt auf 12 *C… Brrrr!!!
Die Musik war an diesem Abend nur House, der aber richtig gut war. Die Getränke lagen bei 35 – 50 MR und der Eintritt bei 58 MR.

Rootz has been one of the hottest clubs in the KL nightlife scene. This club showcases the what it taste to have a superb night out in the city; high energy, upbeat tracks by the hottest dj’s in town, VIP bottles & seating and of course the A list celebrities that you’d most likely cross paths here. Rootz open its door back in 2009 & ever since them they have revamped & remodeled to give you nothing but the best clubvbing experience.
This super club is decked with the state of the art sound system, extravagant Russian palace interior, plush black sofas & chandeliers. The venue is huge & can accommodate more than 500 people at one go making it the perfect club to host events. Rootz is located on the top floor of the Lot 10 mall. As the place gets pumping towards the later part of the night, you have a few pre-​drinks at the outdoor bar ‘Teeq’ which is run by the same management.

I ave to admit, I haven’t seen to many clubs in KL and may not be my favourite places to hang out but I do love «shaking it on the dance floor» sometimes. I believe this is the first club I’ve been to since I moved here 4 months ago but it wasn’t anything special for me.
It has all the elements you would expect in a club: loud music (really loud), strobe lights, DJ, hot looking ladies and guys standing on the side watching them.
The entrance is believe is RM50 (for ladies anyway) or you have the option of paying for a table and pick your alcohol. That would easily get to RM500, if not more, depends on your selection.
The music was alright for the first hour or so but after midnight it seemed that the DJ changed and that cause a change in the genre which resembled like something between hiphop, house, trance and just plain loud noise.
The drinks are expensive and there is not a lot of space to dance. Lots of people hang around the table which turns into a mini, very mini, dance floor. If the 10 centimetres of space you have around the table seem to cramped for you just get op top of the space between the couches. You will end up having a great view of the whole place, you get to look down on people, you will definitely get a lot of attention and maybe even spill some of your drink on the guy/​girl standing below. But its alright, just apologise, offer to give them your number and perhaps let them take a picture of you doing your thing. Work it!
But don’t take my work for it. Just go and see for yourself. You are in KL after all. You need to «check out» the scene so make sure you get on time as you may end up waiting in line if you don’t already have a table.

Rootz has always been one of the most popular clubs in KL. It’s the go-​to place for some elites that would have VIP tables and tables behind the DJs. The music played there is mainly RnB so for RnB lovers, that’s the place to go on Friday nights. The club is going to be pretty empty before 1am so don’t expect an early crowd. The drinks aren’t gonna be too cheap so make sure you’re willing to spend those dough!
The décor of the place is fantastic due to its high ceilings, it’s one of the only clubs in KL that has such high ceilings and gold lined tables glowing from the center. There would also be girls carrying those fancy champagne and liquor to your table with table service.

Friday nights are the best yo! Dj Cza never disappoints with his groovin rnb and hiphop playlist! Taking you back to the old school and current tunes you are surely to be dancing all night long!

I’ve been to the most clubs in Kuala Lumpur and The Rootz has never disappointed me. It is very elegant club with chick interior, fancy couches and tables and flashy lights.
Most of the time they have really good DJ’s and music is rnb and hip hop. They often have different contest running on social media, where you can win tickets to some artists concerts.
It gets crowded around 00.30 –1.00, so don’t hurry to go there earlier. Keep in mind that you can only reserve tables before 00.00 and it is quite expensive. If you don’t have a table the cover charge is 50 rm.
