Ronnie Q’s is the bar you go to for watching sports. Fans of soccer(EPL especially), rugby, AFL(Aussie Rules), baseball, even American football(at times), and other sports congregate here to watch their teams play. I come here because I know they’ll show games I want to watch. The bar itself is alright. Casual. Standard pub menu for drinks and an accompanying food menu that is decent(and decently priced). Mind you that this is not the place for crazy cocktails or deconstructed mojitos. They stick to what they know– beer, house wines, and standard mixed drinks. They do have a juicer– but haven’t actually seen them put that to use to create fresh cocktails. To be fair, I’ve come here mostly when there was a game on that I wanted to see. Usually it’s quite busy and full when there’s something going on. I’ve only come to the bar to hang out sans sports game a handful of times and the bar isn’t all that crowded then. However, it’s got a pool table in the back to keep busy and shoot the breeze with friends.

Ronnie Q’s is a great place for friends hangout! it’s your typical casual pub! the wine is good! the beer not so much! I love the atmosphere! especially if you are with a group of people then you just engage in conversations but know that it’s going to be loud! The bathroom is HORRIBLE! they seriously have go to do something about that! it’s dirty and small and messy! The place gets crowded and not much places to sit, I actually had to stay standing the whole time but it’s cool! I had fun anyway!

This place is a classic bar where you can come with your friends for a bear and to watch your favourite sport game. The bar is famous for the fact that you can watch any sport game you want, because they have multiple plasma screens and tables in front of every TV screen so you can watch your favourite game. On Tuesday nights they have quiz nights where the bar packed with people participating in the game. On Fridays, from 5pm to 6pm, they have a beer promo called ‘pressure hour’ and it works like this: you get free flow of Tiger beers if no one leaves the pub in that hour(toilet trips included). I recommend you here to drink bear which is quite cheep. Under 20RM. If you are hungry they also serve food. The food menu doesn’t offer such a big variety of dishes, but the once they have are quite good.

The longest standing bar in Telawi, Ronnie Q has outlasted so many of its neighbour since 1992! There’s nothing fancy and fashionable about this watering hole. You come here for comfort and familiarity. It’s no surprise that the crowds are made of old-timers. But that’s not to say they are not attracting the young’uns. On Friday evening from 5pm to 6pm, they hold a beer promo called ‘pressure hour’. This is how it works: you get free flow of Tiger beers if no one leaves the pub in that hour(toilet trips included). The pressure is on!

Located across from Davi’s Corner and beside a pirated CD shop. This is your classic sports bar, which feature multiple plasma screens displaying multiple sports games all at once. So the trick is(as I much later found out) is to sit at a table facing to where your sport of choice is currently on screen! Is it me or does that sound amazing? So there’s always a seat nearer to the less famous sports like swimming and gymnastics. The drinks are reasonably priced as I do almost always go for the 3 pints for rm60 set there while I pretend to know what is actually going on at the screen. On Tuesday nights they have quiz nights where the bar will almost definitely be packed with people screaming out their answers to the host. Yes, very fun indeed. I haven’t personally participated in one of those yet but I will make it a point to do so in the nearest future. So, if you’re up for a challenge against me and several other screaming trivia enthusiasts, I’ll see you next Tuesday!

Why would you go to this bar at Jalan Telawi2? It is different from any other bar in Bangsar because it sustained its old school woody design, how the real bar should actually be. One reason why the most of the people come here is that you can watch any sports games that are on. It’s a cheap bar, where most of the drinks are less than 25RM. I would only recommend you to have beer there, because cocktails aren’t their specialty. Their actual specialty is their yummy All day breakfast!
