Good BKT if you’re into herbal style. The broth is not so thick, more to the clear type. The flavour is still quite evident. The general after meal sensation is that of lightness. You are likely to spend the end of the meal sipping upon the tasty soup until the bowl is clean and empty!

Heng Kee is one of the few bak kut teh shops around Kepong, making its name by serving some of the better herbal chicken soups around town.
That being said, it is said that after drinking this, you will give birth to babies copiously and then stay awake all night long. Of course, the broth itself is amazing, and has attracted many humans to this place to beat the sweltering heat. The meat in the soup is amazingly tasty, and has done itself some justice for attracting so many Chinese families to this restaurant.
That being said, this is the perfect place for your daily dose of herbal soups. Of course, you will sweat all your fats you’re about to take in, so no worries!

I went on a Bak Kut Teh (BKT) craze awhile back and i found myself going to this particular restaurant all the time because their BKT was just that good! The restaurant is located in a shop lot Bandar Menjalara. Parking is easily available as you can park your car opposite the restaurant as well. As you walk in the shop, you can smell the wonderful BKT aroma that makes your stomach rumble. The restaurant is pretty big and can seat a large crowd. I usually lok for the seat next to the fan as I’m going to be sweating whilst eating the super hot BKT: O
I usually order 1 BKT soup and 1 BKT kicap along with white rice, tau foo pok and yau char kwai. Perfect combination! The portion is quite large as one bowl of BKT soup can serve 2 – 3 people. I usually order the pork meat only because I dont really like the taste of the pork fat and bones. The soup is so aromatic and flavourful. The BKT kicap is spicy and has a tiny hint of sweetness to it. I feel that the kicap and the soup complement each other well. By the time you’re done with your meal, you will be so full (it’s a good thing! :D) and will be craving for the next round of BKT!
