I’ve noticed two different Peter’s Pork Noodles listings here with no clear distinction on which is which. Yes, there are two Peter’s Pork Noodles within the vicinity, one is located in the Restoran One Sentral hawker centre and the other at Money Corner hawker centre(casually known as Mayflower). Restoran One Sentral is right opposite the Old Town White Coffee in Brickfields, just across the road from Brickfields Asia College. Mayflower aka Money Corner is located opposite the Pos Laju, near Ascott /Shell tower. This will be a review of Restoran One Sentral’s Peter’s Pork Noodles, which isn’t great. Many people rave about it and it is one of the busiest stalls during lunch time, but these people clearly have not had the legendary SS15 pork noodles or its Sunway Mentari sister branch. Broth is somewhat tasty but not flavourful or rich. Minced meat is rather bland and tasteless. And the experience of eating a bowl of piping hot noodles in a stuffy hawker centre just doesn’t cut it for me. Between the two Peter’s Pork Noodles in this area, the one at Mayflower aka Money’s Corner is better.

Now who would have figured that there would be a famous pork noodle stall tucked in the narrow and busy streets of Brickfields. Peter Pork Noodles is operated by Peter whom I assume is the chef along an alley by the Mayflower restaurant. If you’re not familiar with Brickfields, it might be a little difficult to locate. The pork noodles are the best in my opinion, the soup has the right consistency without too much artificial additives. Unlike most stalls where I am left thirsty after downing the soup, this place is different. Without having a strong pork taste, the noodles are not over cooked and has a very springy texture. You can opt for pork liver if you fancy the insides of a pig. Service is very friendly and efficient and reasonable priced

Brickfields is a really unlikely location for some of the best pork noodles in KL. But tucked inside a random food court called Mayflower lies a stall that sells some seriously amazing pork noodles. The stall owner(whom I assume is Peter) is committed to the pork noodle cause and proof is in the broth. It’s very porky, but no in a gamey way. I find that the soup is also more robust in flavour than usual. If you want to have your noodles with innards, I think there’s a pork liver option. But I usually just have it with chunks of minced pork and a poached egg on top. I need the egg every time, because when you break the yolk, it oozes into the broth and adds flavour. Sometimes, when I’m craving just the broth, I have it sans noodles so that the flavour of the broth is uninterrupted.

OHMYGOD! Did you know there’s pork noodle in Brickfields? I was scouting around brickfields probably because I used to work there. Anyhow, I came across this Peter’s pork noodle in Mayflower Restaurant. They are located at rather unassuredly sideway of roadside and are quite easy to be discovered.(you could clearly see by the restaurant signage, back at the entrance) Peter’s pork noodle offers breathtaking pork noodle that are either small(RM5) or large portion(RM6). If you wish to add an egg, RM0.50 charged. They actually prepared an aligned bowls of goodies(noodle, ingredients and egg if included) that are ready to be cooked. I must say I love their food organization. Really systematic. Anyways, the pork that they served is tender and spongy. I must say, I am enjoying every bite of it. Moreover, their pork essence is not very strong which is good. As some people might not favor firmly taste pork. However, they do not include any intestine as part of their ingredients, probably due to majority customers dislike it but they included pork liver. Weird huh! You could either add pork liver or not, depending on your liking. For me? Nah! Overall, I am very satisfied with their food and their service are just fine but don’t expect to be extremely fast due to loads of people. Enjoy
