Exceptionally rude. Ended up going to the money changer next door who was much nicer. Probably was a sign since the other shop actually had a much longer queue compared to these people…

For some strange reasons, this money changer seems to be a very popular choice amongst KL-​ites. Whenever I ask my friend where to change some currencies, they’ll always mention this one. Hence, the queues are always long. Be prepared to wait for at least 15 minutes or so. Avoid the weekends because crowds are massive.
Now back to the most important question: are the rates good? If you do some comparisons, the rates just so-​so. You can get better rates in Bukit Bintang area. A friend of mine found out that the Maybank adjacent to this money changer, sometimes even offers better rates. So why the queue? Do some homework before heading there!

I have not personally dealt with them before but I know for a fact that they are clearly one of the best money exchange-​rs in town! Followed my friend whom drove all the way here just for this and clearly most people would do the same thanks to their highly competitive rates on a wide range of currencies.
Queues can be long so do try to avoid peak hours. But then again, I have NOT not seen a queue. If I were you, I’d get a snack in hand. Also, do check online for their latest rates because unless you are changing a lump sum, petrol and parking in the mall is a thing to consider too.

As they’re known to offer one of the best rates in town, MV Forex always attracts a long queue no matter what time of the day it is. Sometimes the queue can take up to 45 minutes!
The cashiers are fast and efficient so you have to know what currency you want beforehand and how much. However, if you’re only changing a small amount of money, then I would suggest going to the Maybank brand in Mid Valley to change your money instead as the price difference isn’t much and you’ll save time queuing up.

MV Forex known to be one of the best money changers in KL area as it offers lower currency exchange rate with strategic location in Mid Valley Megamall. However I wasn’t able to get much of its information through the internet so I usually go for My Money Master which is 2 shops away from this. You can often see people queueing to change money here.
So there was a day I wanted to try on this MV Forex as it offers exactly the same rate as My Money Master, and I was glad that no GST will be charged for currency exchange! What you need to do is tell the counter what currency you want and he will print out the amount you will need to pay, once you agreed with it simply show your ID and pay to get your notes.
I am not sure how y’all feel with this shop but my experience wasn’t that great cuz the cashier wasn’t being friendly and kept giving me a sour face. I requested smaller notes and he told me no stock while I looking at his hand keeping the smaller notes into the drawer… I understand that money changers often keep smaller notes to themselves but I just didn’t feel good with his attitude. Perhaps I will just stick to My Money Master next time?

Previously, I always wonder why MV Forex is full of people. Everytime when I go shopping at MidValley and passing by MV Forex, I will definitely see people queuing there to change currency. Initially, I thought most are foreigners and they have run out of cash when shopping at MidValley? Oh seriously they bought so many in MidValley? But then, I realized most are Malaysian.
So, before I actually got my currency changing at MV Forex, I seriously doubt why only this money changer is crowded. Until I want to go Taiwan trip last year, and I would need to have my currency change, Danny and I did some research on different money changer and learned that MV Forex offered the highest rate!
Eventually, we ended up be part of queuing. The staffs did thing very fast, so that their customers don’t need to keep waiting for long time. They seem to save all currency rates into their brain. They don’t need to refer they can calculate the currency precisely. Overall, if next time, you would like to have your currency changing, go to MV Forex, the rate is kinda high. Try their service.

I reckon among the money changers with best exchange rate in town, two are here and once of them is MV Forex. Situated at Lower Ground of Midvalley (besides San Francisco Café), it always have long queue especially around lunch hour.
My Money Master has the same exchange rate. It has four counters and remember to be clear in telling them what currency and how much you would like to change. If it is short of your required currency, go to another store. Sometimes, the currency is selling fast. Go in the morning to avoid long queue.
