The pork intestine soup is so good here my colleagues and I made a song for it! The age old debate, where can you find the best Bak Kut Teh? A lot of people would say Klang, well I’ve tried a few Bak Kut Teh restaurants in Klang but none of them taste like the one at Lieong Kee Bak Kut Teh. Here’s why I like it, the soup does not have a strong herbal taste and the soup is more of a clear brown color. The soup is sweet and this is because if the crazy amount of garlic use in the soup preparation. Like seriously, give me a bowl of the soup(just the soup) and mixed with a serving of rice and I am good to go. The meat is soft and tender and not too fatty, I usually add on some enoki mushrooms to the soup for a little extra flavour. The pork intestine soup here is superb; it’s prepared with a white peppercorn base. This peppery soup is perfect for an upset tummy or to warm up on a rainy day. I’ve only ever been here during weekdays, and it closes around 2 –3pm so it’s better to come early. Usually they’re out of yu char kway around midday don’t worry there’s a store around the corner that sells them. You can buy them from the stall and bring it to the restaurants they’ll cut the yu char kway and serve it for you.
