Kampachi is a Japanese restaurant located at pavilion Level 5. Its relatively new there and usually is a fullhouse. I however dont really fancy Kampachi because its too expensive. i get that they still maintain their hotel prices but i think they should at least reduce it a little or increase the portion size. It can range from RM200+ for two people for just a normal meal. I think it also depends on what you order but this is the average for standard Japanese dishes and sushi that you would order at at Japanese restaurant. I would go to Kampachi for special occasions like for a birthday or mothers day etc. Other than that i think its just not worth the money spent cause all in all the food is average.

I celebrated my birthday here at the recommendation of a good friend and fellow Japanese food lover of mine. At the end of the day, I texted her a big thank you because I loved my dining experience at Kampachi. Since it was my birthday, I decided to go for something more upper class and ordered the beef carpaccio(sliced cold beef in wasabi sauce). Loved every slice of it. The wasabi blends so well with the beef and the slices melted in my mouth. What’s a birthday without dessert? After cleaning away every bit of those beef slices, I ordered their special green tea ice-cream. The ice-cream came in a unique glass bowl with strawberries, mochis, and red bean paste. I expected nothing less from such a place but I still felt that jolt of surprise when I took my first few spoonful. Service is good. The waitress took her time to explain the dishes before I made my order. The ambience is lovely and very sophisticated. Like I said; upper class.

Fine Dining for Japanese Cuisine if you fancy is Kampachi — beautiful place for lunch or dinner if you have extra cash to spare. Bear in mind that one Bento can cost you up to RM100++ This place is known for its fresh sashimi and quality bento. Kampachi is located at Level 6 of Pavillion and it is not difficult to spot this restaurant. This place can be full and a little noisy during lunch time(12 noon to 2pm). Service is at top notch as you’d expect it to be. If you are not familiar with the dishes here, the staffs are more than willing to introduce you their signature or best sellers.

It was a long weekday at work and my phone needed to be sent to the repair centre and I’ve left work late and my phone wasn’t ready to be collected and it was so hard getting a parking, it was almost like all things are bad. After all that it was already approaching 9:30 pm and i needed dinner. I finally thought that that day should not end that way, and i should give myself a little treat. I then decided to have dinner at kampachi. Dragging my tired body up to the 6th floor, my friend and I got ushered in and finally sat down comfortably. This kampachi’s interior has an enclosed design so you’ll feel like there’s more privacy. I ordered a premium bento set and a pot of green tea to share with my friend . My day finally felt a bit better and by the time i bite on my piece of tempura prawn, my day got a whole lot better — that was really one of the best tempura prawns that i have tried in kuala lumpur so far, really crispy, fluffy and not oily at all. Overall, the food, tea and ambience here is really good. The reason that I’m rating four stars instead of five is because of the price tag that’s slightly more expensive than the other japanese restaurants generally. Parking wise it’s not at all a problem either as this is a mall, it’d just be during peak hours that you’d need to spend a bit more time to find a parking spot. Even though the higher prices of the food here, will still come back again, as I’ve already started missing the tempura prawns!
