I’ve been here before, a couple of years ago and went specifically looking for something I saw in Singaporean china town but they wanted a crazy price and wouldn’t not budge. I found what I was looking for and even though«aunty» seems a hard bargaining from the antique markets of Beijing, she’s actually a pussy cat with a great deal of charm. to make her items look very appealing and for a sale, her stuff is crowded into her little shop, there is so much stuff but if you look carefully there is only a few of cheap item. I specifically came for some antique looking old style Chinese tea pots with vibrate colours and I got them but she only had 3 of the sizes and colours I wanted and had a small one. I got her down to what I wanted and whilst she was getting my items ready for travel and took the little one and looked at her and she gave it to me at a 3rd of the price, no haggling. the problem is if you want to do some really cool shopping of the same item you need to either visit there first get what you want and then go back before you leave the markets and their the will be again. or break up your visit and go twice during your stay in KL. the tea pots I got have amazing detailed brass on them, each lid has a little animal on it. oh it’s not brass its nickel oh it’s not nickel it’s tin, smoked and made to look old. I had a vision and she helped me make it happen on a dime
