The Pomodorro I tried was top notch. Expertly crafted and the flavors worked well. It was presented beautifully as well. I also tried the Caeser salad wh8ch was a fine light meal. However, the anchovies was an odd addition with the inclusion of the cheese and eggs. The salad was also slightly underdressed but however, it was a fine meal. The atmosphere was nice and casual, a change from many restaurants of that caliber however service was slightly slow and the atmosphere was crowded. Yet, a pleasant meal was had. Also, the fun flashcards of questions was a great addition

Dinner at Ben’s was like eating in a fancy friend’s living room. Not their dining room which would be stiff and too formal, but a more light hearted meal taken into the modern and classy living area.(If your apartment’s interior design was the inspiration for Ben’s. um, let’s be friends and make brunch together at your place on the weekends. K? Cool.) I liked Ben’s easy-to-navigate one page menu. The blue handwriting font for each item was welcoming and the titling of their drink menus made me smile. Naughty or nice(see photo below). I wasn’t naughty as my friend had to be up for a 6am race the next day. Maybe next time!(; The hot lemon tea we responsibly ordered instead was served in mini tea pots and honey on the side. I ordered a truffle mushroom salad(there was a more eloquent name on the menu) because anything truffle is my obsession. Truffle oil is amazing but, as you know, a little goes a long way. Tonight, the chef was feeling generous and the salad(my plate at least) had an overwhelming taste of truffle. No worries, folks. I may have ordered a salad, but I also ordered a bucket of fries which helped tame the bold taste. I like a balanced meal. I also like good conversations over meals, and games! The ice breaker questions provided on the table can be a fun way to spice up the conversation. Keep in mind, it helps if your dining partner(s) want to play too.

I’ve always recommend people to come for the pasta and dessert experience. For pasta, I honestly suggest you try the creamy pesto spaghettini. They are very generous with the chicken slices, and the sauce is just amazing. The aglio olio is okay, but why pay that much when you can opt for their other tastier pasta dishes. The cakes are a must! I love the Caramel Macadamia Sundae cheesecake(I think that’s what it’s called) and their rich chocolate torte. Def worth the try. The Moroccan lamb pie would’ve been nicer if it wasn’t that salty. I had to ask one of the waiters if they could tone down the saltiness but I don’t think they could make a whole new filling in under 20 min. Service is actually quite alright. In fact, they’re one friendly bunch. One waiter had to ask me if I felt alright when I was dining alone and took my time to finish a pasta dish.

I’ve been to Ben’s a few times for dinner and i absolutely love this place. Everything about Ben’s is just awesome. Their service, interior of the restaurant, and their food ! Ben’s KLCC is quite big and spacious compared to their outlet in Pavilion, which I have also been to. The first thing that caught my attention in Ben’s was the play cards on the table. It had a variety of table topics as conversation starters for their guests. A very creative idea. Their menu consists for pastas, soups, salads, pies, sandwiches, desserts and beverages. So far, I’ve tried their Moroccan Lamb Pie, Pad Thai Seafood Linguine and Lemon Meringue. Also, their Mojito is one of the best mojitos I’ve tried. Their serving size is big, their food is delicious and their presentation is very appealing. Its one of my favorite restaurants to go, A must try !

I had a lunch meeting here earlier today and i ordered myself a bowl of Aglio Olio and it was horrible. It was just dry and tasteless. Such a disappointment as i was very hungry. Well actually having bad food and tasteless full is just bad regardless. I needed to dash some chilli flakes to make it more edible(im not exaggerating) After about five mouthfuls i was just put off and didnt finish my meal. I had an ice latte to drink and focused on the meeting for the next hour so with a growling tummy.

I absolutely love Ben’s. My favorite outlet used to be the one at Pavilion cause of the outdoor seating area that looks over the whole of Bukit Bintang. Not anymore. For some reason the last time I went there the food didn’t taste good and was just weird. So never been back since and this is my new favorite outlet. I like the Ben’s in KLCC cause it has a nice touch to it, comfortable sofa’s where you can sit fro hours and enjoy the coffee and cakes. My usual orders are pasta’s. I like the soft shell crab pasta, the spicy tomota pasta, the crab meat linguine and the crabonara. Actually there are more but cant remember the names now. Oh they make really good garlic bread too and the cakes here are to die for. Really yummy especially the chocolate cake. Prices range from RM30 per person and be ready to wait for a table if you come during peak hours.

I always thought Ben’s was super expensive — but after going there a few times, I found that it really isn’t as expensive as I thought it would be. Though, it’s still quite pricey, so be prepared to spend a little if you are coming here. Having said that, I really like the setting here, which probably explains why a lot choose to come here for celebrations or just for a nice meal. Though, it’s still generally quite casual, which I like. I must say that the service can get quite bad. Considering how busy it can get, you can also expect to be put on a waiting list before actually getting a table. The menu is still awesome, with lots of options. I have tried their mushroom lasagna and wild mushroom spaghetti with mascarpone — I like mushrooms — but I was very disappointed. I thought it wasn’t worth the price I was paying. My friend said her mexicana tortilla was a disappointment too — bland and the chicken was dry. The golden soft-shell crab spaghetti was quite decent. Generally, the prices here are quite on the high side — but you are in KLCC and this is a nice, fancy-ish place, so expect amazing environment with decent food and hopefully, good company.

I’ve been to the Ben’s at KLCC a few times. Partly because the prices are reasonable for something close to fine dining and the food tasted good. I’ve tried their mushroom soup, spicy soft shell crab pasta, and duck confit pasta. I’ll hand it to them for their mushroom soup. It had chunks of mushroom in it. As for the soft shell crab pasta, the crab wasn’t fresh but the creamy sauce is delicious and flavourful. I would have absolutely loved the duck confit pasta with sun-dried tomatoes if it had a bit more moisture. Perhaps more olive oil? The service here is a bit slow especially during dinner hours. Ben’s in general is a good place for a first date. It has a nice dim interior with couches, and they provide table talk cards to break any awkward silence.

This is by far one of my favourite Ben’s outlet that i have visited. The place is usually crowded during lunch and dinner hours and a lot of times you actually would have to be in the waiting list if you arrived slightly later. Their design here is very down to earth and cozy, with the colour tone of yellow and grey and their light is rather dimmed here. So, you will feel relaxed once you’re in the restaurant. You will see a lot of couches and cushions being used in this place as well, which makes you feel right at home. They offer a wide range of foods here which include westerns, asians and also fusions. My favourite order here is always their soft shell crab spaghetti. Cooked with curry leaves, the spaghetti is very creamy and with a twist of spices, added in the big chunk of soft shell crab, it is actually very filling. If you are craving for some desserts after meal, do try out their coconut cake here, which is a signature dessert I would say from the Ben’s group. Tender coconut cake covered with coconut flakes, it goes very well with a cup of tea after your heavy meal — it’s good for sharing too. Convenience that it is in KLCC is that even if you don’t feel like driving, you could simply get a lrt ride to this place and have your dinner here. Overall, comfortable environment, good food, fair price, good service — definitely coming back again.

I desperately want to give Ben’s more stars because I think their menu is great. There are a few items at Ben’s that I truly love but almost every time I go there I get incredibly frustrated with the service. The organization of the dining experience from beginning to end is often all over the place and it really distracts me from the great food. To start with I will tell you about The dishes that I love. I am crazy about the crab meat puttanesca. This pasta dish is really really really delicious. They use heaps of crab meat and a light tomato sauce over spaghetti and it is to die for. I also love the Mexican tortilla. It is a simple and healthy concoction but delicious every time. On the other side of the coin, I cannot express how much frustration I have had with the service at Ben’s in the past. Everything from forgetting orders, to getting orders wrong, adding extra chicken instead making the salad vegetarian when I asked for it without meat, incorrect billing and more. It seems to be a different thing every time. That being said the last couple times I have gone it seems to have improved somewhat. So, I’m hoping that this upward trend with the service continues.
