I am always a fan of hot and soup-y meals, and steamboat cuisine is definitely one of my all time favourites, which brings me to introduce this non-halal steamboat restaurant that is located just behind Klang Parade shopping mall called Jia Jia Hao Steamboat. I discovered this restaurant a few years back when my parents are looking for new steamboat restaurants to try out, while driving along the main road just behind Klang Parade, we saw this restaurant packed with customers. A restaurant packed with customers only mean one thing, it should be good! True enough, this restaurant is pretty awesome(well kind of above average). Every time when we dine at this restaurant, we would order their steamboat set and their«Lala Fried Meehoon»(a must try dish!). But one thing that they are missing, they should offer complementary ice cream like other steam boat restaurants(LoL!). Generally, this restaurant has great service and cleanliness as well. Definitely a great place for you to have steamboat cuisine!

I would said this steamboat restaurant is very convenience as it’s located besides the main road in Meru. I always love place that no need to worry about parking. They used to have 1 shoplot for business but now they expand the business to 2 shoplot, so, some people who scare hot, can enjoy steamboat in air conditioning room. They have 2 types of soup base, clear soup or tomyam. You can also enjoy both soup by naming«yin yang». The food portion serve is base on how many head count you order.

Came across this restaurant one day when my other half and I ran out of idea of what to have for dinner. As a natural reaction, I cringed over the idea of having steamboat because I had way too many of them when I was younger. However, we really ran out of idea and it has been a long while since I have steamboat. Hence, I shall give steamboat a chance. Well, having steamboat once a while wasn’t that bad after all. Something soupy and not too oily, it is even better coupled with a breezy night. Like any other steamboat restaurant, Jia Jia Hao serves the usual steamboat ingredients. We had their standard steamboat set for 2 person with some additional vegetables, beancurds and yam. Other than steamboat, they also serve a variety of stir fry, fried and grilled food too. Overall, the food was alright. The restaurant is clean, spacious, well ventilated and properly staffed.
