I am starting to think that I have been cursed from having a decent Maggi Goreng. So much for having cravings for it twice in a week. I hope the saying ‘third’s a charm’ is true, ’cause I don’t think I can stand another unsatisfactory Maggi Goreng. Restoran H-Maidin is a mamak stall right opposite Soka Gakkai Malaysia — a cultural centre. I was hungry after having the pleasure of watching a good choir performance and was craving for some mamak food for supper. Lo and behold, Restoran H-Maidin was right across the street. I ordered a plate of Maggi Goreng pedas(spicy) with a sunny side up and a cup of limau ais(iced lime juice). First of all, Maggi Goreng wasn’t close to spicy at all. Second, the Maggi Goreng tasted like it was drench in some sort of dark sauce. Third, my limau ais could use less sugar. There’s one good thing, the egg was done well with the yolk runny as how a sunny side up should be. I think i’m going to stay away from mamaks for awhile and go back to my regular ones if I’m craving for some Maggi Goreng.
