Bakery at Ukay Heights

An average bakery in Ampang selling fresh breads, pastries and cakes. For breakfast and lunch you can order simple fare like eggs and toast or a sandwich. They also have packed food like various soups (mushroom and pumpkin) and lasagna which they keep in the chiller for you to take away or eat there.
The fresh breads are pretty good; they have a wide variety including multigrain and sourdough. The pastries are hit and miss (and not that cheap!) with the croissants being the best. The chocolate, almond and plain croissants are all delicious. For dessert, the lemon meringue pie is quite good. I’ve had breakfast here a few times and it was just OK. My eggs were too underdone so I couldn’t really eat them. Service is spotty at times and once the owner was being rude to his staff in front of me which I didn’t like at all.
Overall, go here if you are looking for fresh breads or want a croissant to munch on.

I used to frequent this bakery a lot when my tuition center was just above this bakery. The pastries and buns here are okay, really nothing great. Its like the same quality with King’s Bakery etc. I would not go out of my way to buy something from here but if I’m in the area why not. The one thing that’s good here is the bread pudding with vanilla sauce. Super yummy, my stomach is rumbling just thinking about it.
On weekends especially in the morning, This place is pretty busy, and the seating area outside will be full. Maybe the coffee is nice, i don’t really know. Unless everyone is there to have the bread pudding!

Im not so impressed with this bakery. The location is great and i like how im able to see loads of greens and its quite cozy but the menu selection is just disappointing.
Their buttered croissants and chocolate croissants are alright but other than that i feel that the other stuff isnt that great. The quality just isnt there. Coffee however is pretty decent. Coffee makes it all better somehow!
The only reason i would go there is probably to get some work done on the lappy and just to have a different scenery (i work from home) and its barely 5 mins away from where i live.

A good bakery is not easy to find in South East Asia let alone in the Klang Valley. I don’t know why exactly. I always just assumed it was because Asians don’t eat as much as we do in the west. To be honest though, that seems like a dumb excuse because there’s every other kind of food done very well in KL.
This little bakery in Ukay Heights is not great by international standards but for KL I give it a pass. I used to live in the neighborhood and when I was there it came in handy a lot. One thing I will give them credit for is there basic loaves of bread. They are delicious and made fresh every day. They also have a few pastries that are done really well. The chocolate croissant is really excellent, especially if you get it right out of the oven. They have an American style breakfast that is also not bad for less than RM20.
The main thing that’s disappointing is the sitdown experience. I just feel like the café part of this place falls short. They don’t really have a full-​service beverage menu and depending on who’s working where the quality of service is inconsistent. Overall, not a bad place it just takes some time to know what to order.
