If you are coming out of the Main Gate at the Yokosuka Naval base, you have two options, Shioiri to the right or Yokosuka Chuo/Keikyu to the left. Shiori JR is just a little bit past this station and its great if you need to get inland on the JR line. Shiori Keikyu is located behind the formerly Prince Hotel(Which I believe is now called the Yokosuka? Grand Hotel?) Shiori Keikyu is great –Its not as congested as Chuo –Its newly(within the past 3 years, changed from a red to limited express(green stop/train) so you can by pass the congestion and cramming into the train and get a decent spot –and its close if you’re just too lazy to walk down blue street. I personally like to go to this station after a quick stop at Daiei or Daiso

If you live on or near the US Navy base in Yokosuka, this is one of two closest stations on the Keikyu Line. This station is also a limited express(tokkyu) stop, which is good if you’re commuting to/from base. Aside from the station, there are plenty of small restaurants, a Family Mart, and an arcade in the immediate area of Shioiri station.
