Had dinner last night and was absolutely blown away with the taste! Has to be the most tastiest steak sauce I ever had. The meat was moist and tender, the garlic rice superb and the turnip salad cool and crunchy. Fabulous meal – you will not be disappointed.

If your own steak you make loses to outback or any other chain steak joint this is your savior in Japan. Outback is around 4500 yen per person and in my opinion is a foul punishment for good beef. For those who can’t grill — ikinari steak provides a 1800 yen alternative for a half pound steak with garlic rice(sorry, no potato). It’s a no frills standing eating experience perfect for man’s need for decent meat before a night of liquor. Add some 1000 yen lunch specials and you have a good combo. So to start from the beginning — you choose the quality of the meet you want by the gram. 8yen per gram is the normally available best cut. You usually order a minimum of 200 grams(little less than half a pound). You can get a set with rice, salad, and soup. I just went with the garlic rice. The steak comes to order on a metal plate — no salt or pepper added, just Virgin cooked meat. You have garlic chips, butter, onions, and corn surrounding the meat with plenty of fixings to season to taste. Horse radish, garlic, cracked pepper, salt, and mustard to name a few. All in all, it’s not a bad meal. For me, since I pride myself on my grill — I wanted to make the steak a little different for a lot cheaper. For most people who cook leather and suffer from lack of the right flames — this place is a savior. It’s a man’s cut to fill the anti-back yard grilling culture in Japan.

By far one of the best steak restaurant I’ve been to while in Japan. The inside of the restaurant is a little small, a little cramped but that soon leaves your mind. When you first get into the restaurant you are greeted by all the servers. So right away I felt welcome to be there. You give your order to the server for all your sides, and walk to the back to order whatever steak you want. On my first trip I ordered the 200 g tenderloin which was cut directly in front of me. They cook it right there however you want it done. I have mine with garlic rice which was fantastic. I think you can order salads and other sides. I will definitely return and I can see this turning into a weekly occurrence.
