If I could give a half star, this place would be 3.5. The ramen here is Tonkotsu based(pork broth) with a lot of options– kimchi, wakame, chyashu or a mixture of the bunch. The broth is definitely a 4 out of 5, solid body and very rich. I get heavy and it is like a light gravy. The wife always gets light, she said perfect here for her. The noodles are …, medium thickness, egg based and done to order. It is nothing special but the quantity is insane. The noodles are a solid 3 out of 5 but the sheer mass for the price makes it a 4. The toppings — seaweed, kimchi, and Chyashu are very very simple, common simple. This is the 3 out of 5. Wife had a perfect egg which is rare, but I did not order one so she would give it a 4, I am egg-less(my own fault) so a 3. The Gyoza and Chyashudon are stupid regular. 3 out of 5. This place was busy and driving by the only shop that had signs of a happy customer base so we stopped. It isn’t bad, it is pretty good — I am just a ramen snob and have had heavenly awesome. So try it if you are near by. It is a solid joint, massive sizes, and get the egg!!!

Was riding around in the car with the hubby when he noticed this place and almost immediately made a U-turn when we saw there was a decent sized crowd inside; in Japan, that usually means the place must be good. Walked inside and checked out the order ticket machine(forgot to take a photo!) but they served regular ramen — tonkotsu(aka pork bone) base. They also serve it with kimchi and/or wakame. I ordered the chashu-kimchi ramen with seasoned moyashi(bean sprouts), and boiled egg as extra toppings. Luckily, I ordered the broth light(usume) or else I would’ve dealt with super salty ramen broth! The moyashi(seasoned with pepper and partially cooked) was really good and the egg was boiled perfectly; egg white completely cooked while the yolk was still somewhat runny. Hubby and I shared an order of gyoza; it was ok, nothing special. He also ordered a mini chashu pork rice bowl — the pork was flavorful but a bit on the cold side which I didn’t like so much. All in all, a solid ramen place and would come back here if I happen to be in the area.
