Casual and fashionable Italian restaurant in Uji. Outward appearance is like a collaboration of Japanese and Western. I am surprised at how rapid Uji area is changing. This is because Byodoin Houodo designated world heritage stands nearby. The number of shops, restaurants, or cafes increases, as the temple and the famous tea production center becomes a must for tourists. When I first came here about 20 years ago, I remembered there were only shops or restaurants providing Japanese green tea. I had green tea soba near the temple. However such a stylish restaurant as this has appeared in Uji. I ordered a pasta set which costs 1800yen or so(I’m sorry it may cost 1500yen). An hors d’œuvre consisting of mini potage, fresh ham, green salad, ratatouille, pasta(choice), bread, and drink. All of them were arranged on white porcelain plates, which looked delicious, also taste is amazing. Also décor is united in white. Very clean and cozy. I would like to come here at dinner time, too.
