I love gyudon. It combines beef, onion, egg, and rice into a warm, hearty bowl of yumminess. I know Yoshinoya is a chain, but I can’t help but love their gyudon. This particular location was right around the corner from our hotel, and we visited it several mornings before venturing out on our day-long adventures. It’s a tiny establishment where you seat yourself at the bar and order from a fairly simple menu. Service is no frills. It’s a quick, simple meal, so I wouldn’t expect much more. Most items and sets center around gyudon, with some different combinations that you can get. And it’s super cheap: a regular size is not even ¥400 and is plenty to fill you up.
