You really can’t get tonkatsu anywhere else in this world that tastes as good or even similar to what you can get in Japan. I stumbled upon this place while shopping in Expo City and left very content and full after eating lunch. There was a line with about 4 – 5 groups ahead of us and we waited around 20 – 30 minutes but it was also the first week Expo City opened. I had the pork hire katsu with 2 pieces of shrimp katsu and 1 crab cream croquette. The pork katsu was the best of the 3. It was tender thick cuts of pork and was really delicious. The shrimp was kind of average, but the crab cream croquette was pretty good. Even the rice was delicious. It was cooked perfectly with the right amount of mochiness in each rice grain. My lunch set was around 1,700 yen. Tip: You can also get free refills on rice, cabbage, and miso soup. Don’t forget to get your parking validated.
