Good pizza and it’s so cheap! It’s a very small restaurant so on a weekend it may be busy but for 500−800¥ per pizza it’s one of the most affordable pizza places I’ve found in Japan ! The staff is friendly and the menu has some English on it as well as pictures of the food so there’s no confusion as to what you’re ordering! I liked it a lot! By far not the best pizza you’ll find in Tokyo but definitely one of the most affordable!

The pizza is very affordable here! I decided to go for the marinara pizza, since there is no cheese on the pizza and I’m vegan. The pizza was tasty and larger than some of the other pizza restaurants in the area. Another time, I ordered take out. The pizza was a little soggy by the time I got it home. They used foil as a lining, which isn’t something I’ve seen in American pizza restaurants. Something to absorb the moisture from the heat would be preferable for take out containers. It was still tasty, even in it’s sort of limpy state. You order at the front window and you can eat in the back. I believe it’s mostly a standing area, which is okay. It’s not the most comfortable spot, but the pizza and price make up for it. They serve beer and wine, which is nice. Their sides are better than some of the other places in the area and are pretty affordable as well. A tip! They have a point card and you get double points on rainy days. Score! Sempre Pizza has multiple locations across the city, so be sure to check out some of the other locations!

When it comes down to it, Sempre Pizza is a good way to get your pizza fix in Koenji at a very reasonable(some might say crazy) price. Firstly, the pizza here starts cheap. Really cheap. Just 380 yen will get you not just a slice, but a whole 25 cm Marinara pizza. From there, the price goes up depending on the pizza, but even then you won’t have to pay more than 700 yen. An extra 100 yen will get you a soft drink on the side, and there’s wine and beer(350 and 450 yen respectively) if you want something alcoholic. The pizza itself is good, though it won’t blow you away — the base and toppings are well balanced, so soggy pizza won’t be an issue. That said, you’ll still likely find yourself wishing they were a little more generous with the toppings, and that the crusts weren’t so thick. As for size, it’s great for a snack or a light lunch. The modest bare-bones dining room has a strong ‘business over pleasure’ vibe to it — there are some basic chairs and tables, but it’s cramped at capacity — you’ll more likely eat and go over hanging out. Still, at the price point Sempre Pizza offers, it’s hard to complain — they offer a cheap and delicious lunch /snack for anyone in Koenji craving some pizza to fuel their shopping or wandering around!
