When in Japan… a visit to Taito Station is a must. Whether you wish to spend a lot of money on arcade games yourself or watch people spend a lot of money on arcade games.(We saw a girl who pretty much emptied a toy vending machine in order to get this one capsule that contained the toy she was looking for. Her bag was full of toy capsules…) This particular location was one of the biggest we encountered. There were multiple floors of arcade games, including racing games, purikura, and claw machines. The Japanese people love their claw machines. There were so many different prizes to choose from, all of which looked pretty good in terms of quality, too. More importantly though, I was ecstatic when I discovered the Tsum Tsum arcade game. I love the Disney Tsum Tsum app… and I did not even know this existed. I had to play it. It cost me 100¥ per play. We played a versus games as well. There was a little toy vending machine in the middle, full of little Tsum Tsum key chains, and a card reader as well, but we could not figure out how it all works.(I later read on Reddit that you have to insert 500¥ in order to get a key chain plus one game play. That particular Tsum Tsum character you get in key chain form will be saved in your account if you have an ‘e-Amuse card’.) I may actually become addicted(or get my friends addicted) if this arcade game comes to Toronto…
