This place was a nice break from all of the Japanese food on our trip, especially considering how crazy cheap it is. The food won’t blow your socks off but all of it was pretty tasty. My wife kept ordering the spaghetti every time we went. I would order a sizzling platter with a hamburger patty and potato wedges. Total bill was about $ 12. During the weekday lunch hour they have a soup bar where you help yourself. Best part about this place is their beverage station. You help yourself to all the sodas, coffee, cappuccinos, tea, juice, and water you want. Again this place won’t win an Michelin stars, think of the Denny’s of Japan with their diner/café décor. Overall however we really liked this place.

This is a classy place for classy people. Okay, I’m lying. But Saizeriya is really nice on your wallet! Everything’s super cheap, but probably not the scary kind of cheap that may lead to you being in a hospital. This is acceptable cheap. Also, 100 yen glasses of wine that doesn’t taste ENTIRELY like vinegar. Go for larger sizes for better cost performance and more fun!

If you’re ever wondering what to eat in Japan defo try their«family restaurants». They are cheap, tasty and just awesome. Saizeriya is one of my favourites and highly recommend it, especially if you’re short on the yens.
