Piss Alley — what it used to be called due to it’s lack of toilets during the prohibition. I’m giving this four stars because it does feel authentic to meet and drink with the locals: a crowd of white button up shirts and tight, slim-fit grey trousers. There are 1 – 2 shops within that I like, the largest shop up front in the center alley has good Chinese food. Be careful, some vendors are pricey and reeked of tourist traps. It’s good to go with local Japanese if you have friends. It’s somewhat beautiful but I’ve only stopped by walking home every night to use the newly installed restrooms… More of a drinking place with a minor culinary experience.

One of my favorite Streets. On Omoide Yokocho you will find tiny alleys with small bars, small noodle shops, sushi bars, Izakaya, yakitori and everything in between. Think of Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley for drunks and Japanese food nuts… count me as one! This is where you go to eat like a king on a paupers budget. Definitely try the traditonal Soba noodles at Kameya… cheap and awesome!!!
