My favorite restaurant in Tokyo! The atmosphere by the water is amazing and the food(and portion size) are fantastic! Highly recommend the meat platter or the fried chicken — particularly if you are dining with a group. And the waitstaff here are really, really good. I celebrated my birthday there recently and they bent over backwards to make the evening an incredibly special one. Highly recommend the weekday lunch menu for value for money. You won’t be disappointed!

NOTKIDFRIENDLY. Zero customer service. The staff lacks common sense. Came here on a Wednesday afternoon at 12:30pm. The hostess’ name was Yuki. My baby had just fallen asleep after visiting Sky Tree and was very cranky. We were all very hungry and just wanted a beer and something to eat. She would not let me in with my sleeping baby. There were plenty of empty seats and a lot of space for ppl to walk. And she still would not let me sit. This place is horrible.

One thing that I loved when working in Japan was being able to get a good burger once in a while. I know what you’re thinking, you’re in Japan why would you want a burger? Even with all the good food and places around there’s still a time and place for an damn good cheeseburger and TY Harbor delivered. Don’t get me wrong, they serve other things and their lunch menu changes every day, but for a while every Friday they had their signature TY Burger as the sandwich lunch for 1100 or 1200 yen, I don’t remember, which was about 500 – 600 yen cheaper than the same burger the rest of the week and that’s without cheese. The one with the sandwich lunch was with cheese which made it even better. The place would get busy very quickly so we’d usually try to head out just after they opened to be able to get a good seat and not have to wait too long. Every weekday there’s a different choice for the soup, sandwich, salad, main, pasta, and a couple of other choices. With each lunch you get fresh bread, made at their Breadworks location, a small salad and unlimited tea, coffee or iced tea. But I recommend trying one of their beers which are brewed on location. In fact right behind the hostess station, you can see directly into their brewery. Dinners are a la carte as are the weekends. But if you have a chance to visit them for weekday lunch I highly recommend it.

This is a trendy place with pricey views and brews. You can have a very pleasant afternoon sitting by the water and enjoying pizza, burger, or other enlightened brew pub fare. The house made pale ale was decent, the food was good, the staff was accommodating. But the main draw here is See and Be Seen. A very nice waterside experience, worth making the trip from city centre.

Awesome local brewery located in up and coming area. I probably spent about five nights straight in one trip, and they never disappointed me. Nice food selection(all western menu, no dead squid or funky pickles) and home brew beer was nice — when I was there I had seasonal special for spring time and it was decent. Service could be hit and miss depends on where you sit, my preference is at the bar, bartender is cool dude and nice to watch people. Very short walk from Shinagawa station, perfect entertainment option for folks staying at Intercontinental or The Prince hotel group.

Actually a great place for having some cold & fresh beers, enjoying tasty food and relaxing on a sunny summer day on the outside terrace next to the waterfront. The only thing is that you hardly can go there spontaneously. You either have to make a reservation well in advance or you need to wait quite a while until you get seated. Of course, this is mainly because it is a popular place to be and this is a good sign after all. But it can easily get frustrating as well. Since there are not so many other alternatives in that area, you need to go to TY Harbour on purpose. And if you have to wait then additionally at least half an hour — even thirsty for a good beer — it does not increase your motivation to come once again just because it’s nice weather outside.

A MUSTVISIT. The T.Y. Harbor Brewery is the first brewery/restaurant that the company T.Y. Harbor started among the other successful restaurants such as the Smokehouse and Ivy Place. It is personally my favorite out of the ones that I just mentioned. The restaurant is a former warehouse located in Tennozu Isle, a harbor on the edge of Shinagawa. The atmosphere is very friendly yet has the classiness of a high-end restaurant. Straight up, every dish that we ordered was great. From the caesar salad(coming from a person who hates caesar salads…), Artichoke dip, BBQ chicken quesadilla, NY style pastrami sandwich, the Wasabi-Soysauce based grilled sirloin steak. The sirloin was on the top list of steaks that I’ve had so far, in both the US and Japan. The price was also around 4000 yen, which is amazing for its price. The desserts were also great. We had the Chocolate Blackout Layer Cake with Vanilla Icecream and what T.Y. calls the«world’s best cheesecake». I believe its a great place for many different kinds of occassions. My friends and I had a double date here last night, but I would definitely love to bring my coworkers or clients here as well. I also have a close friend who proposed at this restaurant. To say the least, I was very impressed by the overall experience of this restaurant

For those displaced, homesick expats and/or those who want to just breathe a bit out from Tokyo, book your reservations for T.Y. Harbor! T.Y. Harbor can fulfill any of your cravings — whether it’s craft beer, some hidden treasure taco’s, a hefty, sinful burger nested with curly fries, and/or an open view of the harbor and ships sailing by. Brunch date or dinner party, rain or shine, summer or winter — I consider this place my personal haven. I ordered the Baja fish tacos with shredded cucumbers. which came out decadent drizzled in a creamy hot sauce… washing it all down with a cold glass of Amber Ale. Costing me about 2,000 yen for such a decadent brunch on a fine Sunday. Plus the Breadworks bakery that connects to the bar? Oh. There are little pleasures like this that we should all be thankful for.

T.Y. Harbor Brewery changed its name to just T.Y. Harbor and renovated early this year. They have new wide open windows at the canal side and 2nd floor seats with the renovation. I like this brewery restaurant since they opened in 1997. Inconvenient to go from any station but that is good. you can drive your car to just in front of the entrance, they offer valet parking with 1,000 Yen. A driver will have a blue paper wrist ring to be recognized he or she is a driver and can’t be served any alcohol. I went there on Saturday and wanted to have a table outside closed to canal but fully booked even a week before(maybe because golden week). We ordered below and shared. Amazingly they have my favorite food, gumbo, chili beans, cornbread and pavlova. These are not common in Japan and hard to find good quality one but they were all good. Today’s soup(Gumbo chicken) Kick Ass beef and black bean chili with cornbread Poached octopus carpaccio with olive cream Kale and romaine salad with roasted pumpkin, bacon, feta and toasted almonds Pavlova

I LOVE this restaurant! The food is delicious! We ordered crab cakes, ribs, and fish tacos. All were delicious ! We enjoyed tasting many of their original beers. The restaurant is stylish with a great outdoor seating and a lovely view! The staff could speak English very well and they could provide English menus as well. I plan to eat here again and again! Such a great place!

Sorry smokers, your smoking area is inside a «fairly vented» closet-like capsule near the bar area.

Their fries with mango chutney was the bomb. Of course their ordinal brews were the finest in the area!

Homesick for good beer? Tired of Sapporo and ready to throw it back at the nearest waitress? This is your place. The beer here is beyond the pale, especially for Tokyo. Along those lines, the food is also amazing. Definitely recommended.

Excellent riverside spot near Tennozu Isle(Shibaura area) for craft beer, lunch, or even dinner. Part of the TY group(same brand behind Beacon, Cicada, Ivy Place, etc). The food is generally modern American, simple but good. It’s tough to beat sitting on the patio on a nice spring or fall day; you almost forget you’re in Tokyo! The craft beers on offer here are a favorite(it is a brewery after all) so make sure you get the sampler set if you go.

Who wants to move to Tokyo and open a microbrew /outdoor beer garden /restaurant? Ty Harbor is certainly cornering the market. After two weeks in Japan I’ve noticed that it’s fairly rare to find a place like Ty Harbor. Specifically the outdoor seating. Ty Harbor has a massive outdoor area and it’s clear that the people of Tokyo love it. We went at lunch on a weekday afternoon and it was completely packed with about a 20 minute wait. Regardless we waited because it was a gorgeous day. I sampled the IPA and the ale and both were pretty respectable. My wife had the wheat which was also ok. I would have liked to try more but they took last order at 2 in the afternoon which seemed pretty lame considering how busy they were and how beautiful it was outside. For food I went with the shrimp and avocado sandwich and that was tasty. Especially the bread that it is made next door. My wife went with the quesadillas and they seemed ok. Price was they were a little on the pricey side, but that’s ok because it was worth it. Location wise, it’s close to the harbor, so it’s not that easy to get to from Shinjuku or Shibuya, but it was worth the trip.

Even on a cold day, you can sit out on the patio and enjoy outdoor seating. Burgers are good and they have a nice selection of beer.

I am a self confessed TY Harbor Group fan. They now have 9 unique restaurants/cafes throughout Tokyo and you’re bound to find me at one at least once every two weeks… sometimes once a week :) Each restaurant has it’s own theme and unique feel/taste. T.Y. Harbor was originally a warehouse and was converted into this restaurant in 1997. In the last few years it has undergone more renovations and has emerged a beautiful«waterfront» restaurant. Japan, despite being an island, lacks outdoor or waterside restaurants. T.Y. Harbor manages to make the most of the waterfront and serves delicious food and beers. Not to mention the staff is always friendly and ready to accommodate your requests(Sometimes hard to find in Japan!). I know a few people that make a morning/day out of this restaurant. It’s a nice area to ride your bike to — you can enjoy the wide car-less canal streets and feel that you’ve earned your meal when you tuck into your Grilled Sirloin Steak Bourbon Mustard Sauce and Vegetables or your Smoked Chicken, Avocado, Cheddar and Black Beans Mexican Salad. Not to mention a beer, or two, or three. Just make sure you can bike back!
